CAR WASH CONSPIRACY!!!!

Twice now my local car wash has put my Mav in PARK while going through the wash!!!!

First time I'd thought it was nerves and accidently did it myself when Knob is easily "bumped"...but then yesterday- NO ACCIDENT!

WTF is that all about? EMI or moisture

'cuz both times now it happened at the end and at the blower drying phase of wash.

Good to know. I always use the touch less. The rotating brushes cause swirl marks in the paint.

Was the motor running through the wash? If not there may be some sort of safety feature that if you forget or don't turn the knob fully to park it engages?

So, I have a drive thru I go to use. I turn off the park hold, put the car in neutral, and then I press the 'L' to put the car in tow/haul (ish) mode for it to keep the car moving forward in neutral.

I think the car will automatically put the brake on if it thinks it is moving and doesn't expect it.

Car washes don't automatically put your brakes on while going thru them.

You can find that drive mode in the manual to better understand it.

Not us old lazy guys that have washing cars for 60+ years. Right now I spend about 20 minutes on my hands and knees just getting brake dust off my wheels with a toothbrush. Done with that crap.

One of my reasons for buying my Maverick is car wash baby. I don't care.

There is a temporary neutral mode for car washes.
