Car bra for maverick lariat

Has anyone found a place to get a bra for the Lariat. Dealer told me the 2022 and 2023 were the same, but can’t find any. I would think they would have one for the 22’s. by now. Think it’s because there is such a small market? Would love to find one before the love bugs come back here in Florida.

I disagree. Had one on my Ranger for years, it never damaged the paint, if fact , it protected it from sun fading. It also looked pretty, damn awesome. Just my opinion on fact about the fading, or lack of .

My father in law puts them on every vehicle and keeps them a long time. Trust me, they damage paint. Currently has 2 of them on a Dodge Journey and a Dodge Caravan going into years 8 and 7.

If they did protect against fade, that would mean the paint does not match the rest of the vehicle once you remove the bra.

They definitely scratch paint and retain moisture which attracts debris underneath.

This is why you see less and less of them now days. Look into getting a PPF. I think Invisible Mask makes something too?

I had the Xpel done by a pro installer to the front of the hood (18"), fender front, front fascia, bumper, and rearview mirrors to my "23 Lariat.. Can barely tell it's there & self-healing. Very happy.

This! I have never seen one used for any real length of time that did not damage the paint. If it was a perfect weather environment, maybe. But the heat, moisture and dirt that gets behind them ends up being far worse than the few rock chips one might get.

They do scratch paint and hold moisture. They also hide scrapes and small dents, if you're into that.

PPF is the way to go. It protects the whole hood. I had the full hood, front bumper, grill and full front fenders done. Cost was $1500. but well worth will never see a stone chip.
