probing around for a good ground and all the spots(even the factory)are 10-14 ohms(seems a little hight) multimeter is good(measured a known resistance to test). my question is, cant i just ground straight to the battery? since its right under the rear seat? or is there a better spot. never had the battery so close to the amps. last car i did was a chevy spark and the ground point that were an option were close to 0 ohms with leads included.

I’d prefer a chassis/unibody ground point. A non painted spot. Star washer, should never come loose.
One less wire do deal with when you pull the battery out.

Looks like you have a hybrid. Go to the negative ground cable on the battery.

Going straight to the battery is what you want for 12V+, but it is generally not the best choice for the ground. Can't remember hearing of anyone having trouble with any of the obvious and already-used ground points behind the rear seat, regardless of resistance.

In the hybrid, at least, you must ground not on the negative battery post but needs to be grounded on the body side of the BMS which is located on the negative post. This is to allow the BMS to monitor the current flows into and out of the battery. (A charger, maintainer, etc also needs to be grounded so the BMS can "see" how much current was used to charge the battery). The battery can be at some voltage (say 12.4) but the BMS thinks it should be at (say 11.8). Then when battery won't accept the current it should at 11.8 the BMS could calculate that the battery condition is not as good as it actually is. Help the BMS understand the battery and find a very good ground on the body side of the BMS.

Behind the seat there are several spots that are already grounded.
Yeah, but if you have a power rear window, definitely do not if use that ground.
