Not if you haven't activated it before then. I had linked and attempted to activate mine around 12/10/23...and someone in the truck accepted the request on 12/19/23, so I had access as they moved it around in Hermisillo. Can you use fordpass before you get your truck to track your order? My truck is suppose to on train.
I hope your "trusted salesman" remains so. Too many bad tales, including those of having a truck arrive and someone happens to be out of town for a few days and unable to pick it up in the arbitrary timeframe a dealer gave them.Personally, I don't want to know where it is until my trusted salesman at Lynch Ford in Mt. Vernon, IA lets me know it's ready to pick up. I feel fortunate to have a highly reputable dealer to work with and may feel differently if I ordered from a questionable dealer like some described on this forum.
I have no worries with this dealership.I hope your "trusted salesman" remains so. Too many bad tales, including those of having a truck arrive and someone happens to be out of town for a few days and unable to pick it up in the arbitrary timeframe a dealer gave them.
Knowledge is power. Some "wonderful" dealers have turned into far worse than "questionable" for others buying from the same places.
I am just curious about the how and why our new vehicles get the mileage they do before we get them. I'm guessing that testing and whatnot is involved. My XL had 13 miles on it when I picked it up. Yours is stating 38 miles. I am curious about the difference. Mine is a barebones model, so it didn't really need to go anywhere on the Hermosillo compound for any add ons. I wonder if that's why the difference? Not if you haven't activated it before then. But since I was held and they did the master reset (to fix the taillight recall), I got a notice that my access was removed due to that master reset on 12/28/23.
I tried to reactivate it, but Fordpass now gives me:
My 2023 had 40 miles on it when delivered. I did not get a slip in the glovebox (as some have) stating it was selected for additional testing.I am just curious about the how and why our new vehicles get the mileage they do before we get them.
