When did you get your buyers order?

Hey everyone. It looks like my Maverick should be delivered between Dec 27th (tomorrow) to Jan 9th. My original delivery date was between Jan 6th and the 19th. I’ve been wanting to get pre approved for a loan through my credit union but dealer doesn’t have the buyers order or so they say. They said they would have it when my truck arrives. Is this true for those of you that have received your mavericks? If not when did you get your buyers order? This is my first car I’m buying on my own and a new one at that so I hope my question makes sense.

you wont receive the buyers order until you purchase the vehicle, its one of the documents you sign during the purchase process. If your bank is requesting documentation for pre-approval ask your dealer for a document with the out the door price(basically is it msrp, are they adding things on, are you adding aftermarket that you plan to roll into the price.) Dealers are able to do this before your vehicle gets there.

They may say you cant start paperwork until the vehicle gets there and that is normal. we don't start paperwork until the vehicle gets here so we can continue tracking and so ford is liable for any damages or other incidents until it hits the lot. if the dealer reports it sold to ford before it gets to you and it is totaled by a shipper then you are liable for the damage and not ford. if they try to say that let them know you are not trying to start paperwork you the out the door price is going to be.

They should also be able to provide you with a Priced DORA (Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement), which may not show all the dealer BS add-ons (if your dealer is adding things). I requested and received a Priced DORA from the salesman, not long after placing the phone order for my Maverick. My dealer's only add'l charge was the doc fee, but OTD price was still below MSRP.

Thank you for this! I’ve read stories of people getting screwed over by their dealer and really want to make sure mine isn’t doing that too. I unfortunately need a new car mine isn’t safe anymore so I’m really hoping I’m just being paranoid and everything goes smoothly
