I just finished my first long distance trip in my Maverick today, driving from San Antonio to Phoenix. This photo was snapped on I-10 at Sacaton, on the Gila Indian Reservation. They are trucking them to their destination, not putting them back on rail cars.
I am just curious about the how and why our new vehicles get the mileage they do before we get them. I'm guessing that testing and whatnot is involved. My XL had 13 miles on it when I picked it up. Yours is stating 38 miles. I am curious about the difference. Mine is a barebones model, so it...
I don't honestly know. I do know that they have shut down traffic through Lukeville, Arizona, too. I honestly hope nobody's delivery is delayed. I feel terrible for those who ordered in 2022 and are still waiting, considering I ordered this summer and my Maverick is sitting in my driveway.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it looks like this is currently happening. I don't want to get political with this, but events on the border are affecting people expecting the delivery of their Maverick right now. US to suspend rail operations on the southern border due to migrant...
NEWS FLASH: Inflation affects labor costs as well. If the market will bear it, they will charge it! Ford is finding out the hard way that this isn't always the case. F-150s are just stacking up on dealer lots! People can swing a small truck priced in the mid twenty thousands. Seventy thousand...
Tell your dealer you want that discount regardless of when the truck arrives. It's not your fault the truck hasn't arrived yet. Tell them that you're on forums like this and you'll speak to what happens.
Their website clearly stated that the vehicles in question were in transit. There was no guess work involved. Considering mine was never listed like this? I'm thinking they might actually be dealer stock Mavericks.
I don't know what to make of it, but I do think the Maverick market is changing. I just took delivery of my XL on Black Friday from Red McCombs West in Texas. There was no attempt at "Texas Protection Package" shenanigans, but I was prepared to walk if there was. Last week, there was one Lariat...
I don't disagree at all that this is entitlement. People are used to how car buying used to be. The market has changed. Having said that, Ford is playing a dangerous game with customers. All of the car manufacturers are. One disgruntled potential customer is not a concern. A horde of disgruntled...
Here's the rub with your plan. People, for the most part, aren't waiting a year to get their trucks anymore. The order banks are still open. Best of luck to you.
