Can you disable "check rear seats" alarm?

Unfortunately I have a 11 year old that rides back there.

I pickup my grandkids at times and don't mind the chime for buckling up. It also chimes, when they unbuckle when the truck is moving.

I did shutoff the reminder for checking the backseat, when the truck is stopped. With all the noise the grandkids are making, it would be impossible to forget that they are there. Even when I had babies, I wouldn't forget that they are there. No need to go overboard with all of the buzzing....

I tried the seatbelts buckled thing, but it had no effect. I'll have to dig into the menus on the steering wheel. I swear I didn't see it in the vehicle settings though, and on the touch screen settings the vehicle is dimmed out.

Well as strange as this sounds: I went out to the truck again, and this time on the dash display screen I was in fact able to open vehicle settings. There it was, the off switch.
I can't explain why i wasn't able to get to this setting earlier, but it's done and I'm happy again.

I finally realized that I had to go to settings on the screen and not on the steering wheel, so I got it turned off.

Earlier today I was everywhere on steering wheel menu looking for reset time for daylight savings when walla "There it is on the TOUCHSCREEN"!

I turn mine off from touch screen and it does not stay off, the alarm is super loud and super annoying. lariat lux

That only does away with the chimes not the check marked boxes in the instrument panel screen. Then you got to hit okay so you can switch to Eco mode it won't allow you to go to Eco mode until you hit okay on the check mark seat belt screen

you can actually still change drive modes while that - and any other - pop-up messages are on-screen, just adds an extra click. 5 clicks to get to Eco mode, as opposed to the 4 clicks it takes with no pop-up messages. You will not see the mode selection pop-up but it will change modes.

I just picked up my Maverick 2 days ago and I love it. But I'm wondering if anybody else finds the notification to check the rear seats anytime you happen to open the rear doors and then you end up getting out of the car annoying like I do? If so does anybody know how you can disable that notification?

Yes, but it comes back after 6 months or weeks, can't remember. It's in vehicle settings.

Have seen some comments if it saves one life it's worth it.
I'm thinking big here. We could build multiple little compounds with everything within 1/4 mile radius. Think high rise apartments. In the center all the store bought items one will need. No need for vehicles at all, just bicycles and walking. Now we can save 10's of thousands of lives. Who can be against this?

It turns off for 6 months, it's in the manual.

Dealer must have turned it off during PDI, and mine started a few weeks ago just under 6 months from delivery. Dug into the manual that day to turn it back off.

Now if that blasted seatbelt status screen could be turned off. At least that one goes away after a minute, provided all the belts are fastened. The instruction about clicking them may only work on '22 models, I seem to recall reading it may not work on '23 and presumably then '24 model year vehicles.

I don't have a rear occupant alarm, but I came here to figure out how to turn off that stupid seatbelt status screen.

I assume you are pointing out out the problem with the ultimate nanny state approach.
Many would be against it...
Anyone who hates apartments or high rise buildings.
Those who prefer choice over what someone decides what you want to buy.
The model assumes no one is working off site. It must be a pre-AI life model.

Even with the car alarm scenario, why should everyone have to deal with an alarm when only those who transport kids in the backseat really get any benefit.
The answer of course is the nanny state knows best, even when they don't.
Fortunately, at least some of the alarms can be disabled without an axe.
