I'v sure that the XLT and Lariat models have the centre sensor and seatbelt. I'm not sure about the XL though. Did you buy it new or did the previous owner remove it?

I keep my center seat belt buckled and tucked into the rear cup holder but this is a habit from my 22. I did it in that one because I hated hearing it flutter in the wind when the windows were down. I guess it ls a bonus I don't have to worry about the seat sensor issue now either.
