I tossed it in my snowmobiles in Alaska, they'd sit for a year, start right up and run through tank 0 issues. its a fuel stabilizer up to 2 years iircI've used seafoam it's good. Not a bad idea.

do what makes you happy! your truck your vehicle, but I think having a vehicle behind is just a stress, you work for DoD, go enjoy yourself, come back buy the newest vehicle at the time, pay a few extra bucks if it does increase, but at least you got a brand new vehicle, with new car smell.!Thank you.![]()
Yep, been there and after 27 years in the Navy I still don't want somebody else to be the first person farting or leaving hash marks in my brand new vehicle.easy decision, dont do it.
I was military for years, id go away for just 2-3 months and come back to find my vehicle half destroyed half the time.
id never buy a vehicle, to leave for a year. just isn't worth it, come back, get a new vehicle w that money you made and enjoy your new shiny car that actually smells new. I was military for like 3-4 years, then I worked dod for 4-5 years.
so this is my opinion, leaving less things behind is less stress. less bills, more savings. cant say I ever thought 'man I cant wait to get back home and drive or ride this vehicles im paying for' I just enjoyed whatever I was doing when I was doing it, vehicles get it when you're back
what I understand is, more options the vehicle has, longer it takes.Battery tender it is, just a small amount of gas and seafoam I'll have to do a small ratio. I've already done 1 year in Germany. I'll give em 6 more months. That should be enough for the vehicle. Thanks guys. Appreciate you all. Sounds good only for 6 months.![]()
yep, I had a s1500 crappy ass truck, 1996. every time I left, and returned from any deployment or trip or training field, my car had scratches, dents, beats, broken windows, someone stole my radio. just retarded, came back from my deployment, and it was stored outside for a little while. someone ran into my truck bed, prob doing donuts in snow. I never gave a crap though it wasn't a big deal. cheap truck.Yep, been there and after 27 years in the Navy I still don't want somebody else to be the first person farting or leaving hash marks in my brand new vehicle.![]()

I ordered a 2025 lariat hybrid awd yesterday. just got the ford received order confirmation email today, which others say looking at 4 months or so.Mines arriving late January early Feb. Funny you say. I have a storage since I been deployed. My vehicle storage is covered paying separate. What did you end up ordering?
Yep your one of those....stalker followers. Get a life.
Lol I'm smarter than you think I am. Nice one. Good luck buddy. Smh
Freedom are you a plant?![]()
Premium vs. Regular makes no difference vis a vis ethanol. However, you CAN buy ethanol free gas in many places. Run the truck virtually out of fuel. (Maybe completely out if you can work out the logistics) Then add about 5 gallons of Ethanol free gas. (Full tank would be better to fight condensation issues)Maybe leave 1 or 2 gal of premium? Or just do it empty? I'm sorry this is a first for me and I'm nervous. I just want to do it right. Not have no issues when I come back from Germany
why would he be making insurance payments?Since you know what you want and that is a 2025 why not just let this one slide back to the dealer and then order one later in your time away rather then give up all that factory warranty along with (presumably) make payments and insurance payments on a truck that's waiting at home for you?
I know you don't want to risk a 2026 based off previous comments but you will have nearly a year of being able to order a 2025 still before order banks presumably open for 2026 and 2025 is cut off.
If you must store it I would try to find some non-oxy 91 and use that being it will have no ethanol it will store alot better then even premium 91/93 with ethanol. My concerns would be rodents during that time more then the fuel going bad however. Just recently had a friend with a 2024 have a mouse destroy several main wiring harnesses in the truck in just a weekend of the truck sitting!

Insurance? if it isn't registered, it need not insurance.walk away from the Maverick order for sure. it's not that special or difficult now to order a new one.
it is a large waste of money to pay for it, insurance and storage. I can't believe you would even consider it honestly? I'd sell any cars you currently own before leaving, too.
if he has a loan the lienholder will certainly require it to be insured.Insurance? if it isn't registered, it need not insurance.
