I recently added a rear view mirror dashcam to replace the factory rear view mirror, and I'm powering it off the 12v outlet in the console. (Didn't want to go through the hassle of wiring it into the ignition harness) The 12v outlet powers up when you start the vehicle, and that's great. But it stays on for a long time when you shut the vehicle off.

Is there any way to program how long the outlet stays hot? 5-10 minutes would be perfect.

In other vehicles yes you can control the time. How in the Maverick I don’t know.

I just checked mine. The default time is 4500 seconds (75 minutes). I changed it to 1800 seconds (30 minutes).

Yes, I found it. Set mine to 5 minutes.
