You get 400 watts.

Check your appliances.

Best bet for tools is run battery tools and use the 120 volt outlet to recharge batteries. If you have 2 or 3 batteries you can recharge faster than you can use them up.
Who still uses a corded drill anyway?

Guys who are waiting for cordless to be good, but before stating that they are, tell me how many voltage/tool generations you've gone through so far.

If you read the owner's manual (who does that? 😂):

Do not use the power outlet for these types of devices:
• Cathode ray tube type televisions.
Motor loads, for example vacuum cleaners, electric saws and other electric power tools, or compressor-driven refrigerators.

Will the bed power outlet allow you to run most small power hand tools ? Like drill motor or grinder or a crock pot. Thanks 2025 xlt fwd hybrid
Nope.

The 400w modified sine wave inverter in the Maverick is a big turd. Maybe the functionality is better in the hybrid, back feeding the 12v system from the HV battery, than it is in the ecoboost?

The ecoboost requires some engine rpm to bring the voltage up high enough for the inverter to work on most items that require >50% of rated power. So at something like 1500 rpm you get up to 14.4v, which then gets stepped up to 110V. When the engine is at idle and the alternator is not making significant output, the system voltage sags to 12.5V that the lead acid battery has. The inverter voltage
Also sags, under 100V. And a lot of devices do not like that and will shut off.

Additionally, the Maverick inverter is a modified sine wave, not a pure sine wave. The modified sine wave is less efficient at turning AC electricity into work. It takes about 20% more energy input from a modified sine wave than a pure sine wave, to get the same power output. Where does that extra 20% energy go? It gets turned into waste heat. So your devices run hotter and make less power.

In my experience, I haven’t found any devices more than about 50W that will work with the Maverick inverter when it is at an idle. For example, I go for a ebike ride, I get back to my truck, load the bike into the bed, plug the charger in and the charger will turn on for about 3-4 seconds as wattage ramps up, then clicks off. A killawatt shows that the BMS is ramping up the wattage, 5,10,15,20,25,30 click. And it shuts off. Over and over. 30-35 watts each time. However, get in the truck and start driving to the next destination and it will ramp up to its max, 190W and it will charge up my ebike. Although the charger gets very hot.

Instead of doing that repeatedly and potentially damaging my e-bike’s charger, I run a thirty dollar, 300 watt, pure sine wave inverter from the 12v cig plug. The cig outlets, front and rear, are on 20 amp fuses in the Maverick fuse box, so 288 watts at 14.4 V or 240 watts at 12 volts.

I’m able to (190 W) charge my ebike from the cig lighter plug with no probs.

If you’re using a heat or light device, like a soldering iron or 110 V lighting, it will probably work with the Maverick inverter. But, if the item is electronics, like a laptop charger or a jackery portable power station, it will not work at an idle and *might* work when driving down the road.

On my 25 hybrid I can run the Noco 10 charger that puts out a little over 131 watts to the battery, so it must be drawing more than 130 watts + my 65 watt laptop charger at any RPM or with the engine completely stopped. Close to 200 watts.
So I guess the EcoBoost inverter isn't very usable, but the hybrids' is better
