Good day

Thank you for the info as to your experience with the trucks electrical system.

By any chance, as it seems you have experienced varying low states of battery charge, have you tried Mavster Mechanics solution to keeping the 12 volt battery charged priperly?

It is where us hybrid owners turn on the park lights or headlights, thusly activating the truck to charge the 12 volt battery more fully/properly.

I know it works for me, and I have had absolutely no issues with any power ports drop off immediately at shut down.

There are others here who are experiencing it, so that is why I am asking you for your experience/thoughts.

Have a nice day,

Andy
I have and I've tried it, but my battery won't go above 50% SoC. I haven't given it too much attention yet, but it could be because the BMS permanently did damage to the battery over time. My current plan is to hook it on a tender, see if that changes anything. If not pull the battery and try charging again. If that still doesn't work, get a fresh battery and see if the behavior changes.

Yes, if the battery has been damaged, hard to recover it from there.

A good smart charger for your battery (AGM?) and then meter it several hours later when the battery has relaxed will tell complete story as to its condition.

You probably already know, but I will repeat it for others who may read...charge the battery completely...not a surface charge. Disconnect charger and shut up and lock truck to do a relearn.

If installing a new battery, charge it completely first. Install in truck and follow manuals direction to do a BMS reset.

Some have simply kept the battery disconnected from the truck for 12+ hours, and then installed/reconnected the new charged battery.

They report this was effective and the truck relearned the new battery capacity for charging.

Take care, good luck with the battery, and thank you for responding.

Andy

(This would require the engine hood being popped when you shut it down so you don't wake the truck up by having to open the door to get to the hood release.)

... but the Delta 3 has a little better of a plug design, both on and out as well as the screen.

Delta 2's are currently discounted, if still available. The Delta 3 is just more user friendly.
If the truck has keyless entry, make sure you don't have the keys on you or it might wake up by proximity

PS : the Delta 3 are on sale at Costco for $550 CAD (spotted in Canada East, but maybe out West too) until August 2nd
