"Anticipated" followed with "by October 2023." I know it's still October, but if I say I'll be there by 8 and then show up at 8:59 did I show up on time?Jeeze, guys, did no one notice the word "anticipated" in Ford's initial letter? Shit happens. And on a side note, has anyone actually heard of a Maverick catching fire since this recall process got underway? I haven't. Not saying there haven't been *any* fires, but it's not like we've gotten to the point that we need to wash our cars with Holy Water and park them 500 feet from the house.
So, if yours catches fire, would you pop the hood in an attempt to douse it?Most are waaay ahead of that.

Have you read about the "defect?"
Well, I think that's what the holes in the under car shield were for.seems a few haven't seen "Back Draft"

You should have ordered a 2024. The way things are going, you might had it first. I hope your Maverick is inside during this wait. Like locked up in the showroom.Dang! You had me all excited when I saw the title of your post , I thought Ford released it.... So sad. I still like to go look at my Mav. but would be better to bring it home. Let's go Ford, push out the official recall repair!!!! (Sitting at the dealer since June 6th)
They have been keeping my ordered on the backlot. ( been able to test drive it a few times to keep everything running and tires from flat spotting)They have a stock order with a few more options than my order, in transit they put my name on. So I'm waiting to see which one is available firstYou should have ordered a 2024. The way things are going, you might had it first. I hope your Maverick is inside during this wait. "Anticipated" is a term that literally suggests that the time of the subject event is not exact nor is even known. "By" sets a limit. So yes, if you say you'll be someplace by 8:00 but show up at 8:59, you're late."Anticipated" followed with "by October 2023." I know it's still October, but if I say I'll be there by 8 and then show up at 8:59 did I show up on time?
I'll take a note that you don't mind waiting for me to have the recall performed first because it says anticipated.
