Dealer just contacted me Ford will be announcing a fix this week.
Also @fordvideoguy in his Maverick Mondays post on YouTube said hopefully hear this week for a software fix.

Pretty exciting.

Let's hope software fix is legit because I think 1 complaint post recall and NHTSA will be all over them again.

If Ford can't find a legit fix for this, they should still be allowed to sell the remaining '24s if they include one of these in every glovebox -

I'll probably hang back a few weeks after the fix is out to make sure it takes and doesn't cause any collateral damage

I am also going to wait a bit to be sure it's working as expected, then have it done. And maybe they can replace my battery while they're at it.

Well.. This past weekend I took a trip to Madison. And the camera and screen.. Froze!!
But, I remembered a post on how to "Reset" the darn thing, And it WORKED!!
So, I'm GOOD..

But, I remembered a post on how to "Reset" the darn thing, And it WORKED!!
So, I'm GOOD..

Surely you have read about the infotainment 'reset' by now. Press down the Power Button (Vol knob) and Track Forward (|>>) button at the same time until it reboots. I've had to do this at least 3 times a month for the last two years.

I am hoping this is true! have a small deposit on a 24, and dealer was looking for 25s same model but most dealers near me only have a white one and I don't want white! I have asked my dealer to confirm if he has heard this!

There's a solution to this. Look over your shoulder. It's stupid to rely on any backup camera alone.

I have only had my Maverick for seven months but have been lucky that I only reset it once and It wasn't cuz it froze or anything It was because I just wanted see how resetting it worked. So my concern is that they'll do a software fix and then that'll cause my screen to start messing up.

I have never and will never bring my vehicles in for software updates. Just not my thing. I don’t use the camera to back up so I don’t really care if it is not working. So I may be the last. Lol
I have a 2010 Mazda rotary that I have never brought in for an airbag recall. Although that one I should metal to the fact is a bit different than a camera not working
