Camera recall.

I just received my California re-registration notice. In it, there was an: IMPORTANT RECALL NOTICE". Of course, there is no recall per se; just a notice of pending. Those owners without the full knowledge I am sure are scrambling and contacting their dealers. I can just imagine the conversations about what Ford says vs. what the State says.

No. I have a 2024 XLT with Lux package, and I just received the recall notice on my Ford Pass App. I assume this means that my truck does not have Sync 3.

Now I am confused. I have the XLT Luxury Package (which includes SYNC 3 according to enjoitheride's post) and I am subject to the recall. 

so either this recall does apply to SYNC 3 systems, or the XLT Lux package does not include SYNC 3 as Ford claims ???

The XLT Lux package did NOT include Sync 3 in any of the years. Where ever that information was pulled from is incorrect. The simple way to know if you have Sync 3 is if you have the B&O subwoofer. That was a Lariat Lux option in 22-23 and standard in 24 Lariat.

It is also misleading to say that Lariat is not affected by this recall. There were many non-Sync 3 Lariats built in MY22-23, including mine. I was alerted about this a couple months ago. I guess they have expanded the group of VINs as they have finally figured out that virtually all non-Sync 3 trucks probably have this issue.

Did they offer a Lariat Tremor package in '24? I can't remember now. I was more in-tune with ordering my '23. I went Lariat for push button start, but I didn't want the B&O, heated seats, or all the 360 stuff. I'm happy with what I have, although the infotainment system sucks for the most part.

I think so. I don’t mind turning a key. It’s kind of engaging for me. My Raptor has the 37 Recaro package, and I have a loaded Badlands SAS Bronco. So, I get push button there. I do like that Lariat gets the sliding rear window. My XLT has the co-pilot 360, but I think that’s about all I need. I can turn off the stuff in the Raptor and Bronco, but the lane keep gets annoying on trips with all the beeping.

you can never get everything in a package you want, ha. Always have to sacrifice something. My Maverick was mainly for a daily, and just hauling some stuff around to keep the other two vehicles nice.
