How to unplug the Camera Wire/camera from Tailgate/Endgate

At times I will need to remove my tailgate for transporting material. How do I discount the camera that is part of the tailgate???

I do know that I won't have a camera when doing this and that is No big deal.

I don’t have a “protective cap in the glove box”. Anyone have a picture of it?

I found the wires but I'm not sure how do disconnect them. I don't want to damage them, especially the one to the camera.
