Leaving work today, started the truck before pulling off got this message. Put it in reverse to see if there was a issue, and the camera worked fine so not sure what that message means.

It was a nice and sunny day here about 79° for high.

I've received that message twice on my 22 xl/eco/awd.....hasn't happened in at least 8 months or so. Maybe the latest recall (24S59/24V684) will address the issue? IDK.....

Yeah, no telling. I think being my truck was built in February it's not part of the recall.

Got it a couple of times. Seems to clear itself. Nothing recently.

2023 hybrid xlt. Drivig down road same message. Got home. tried reverse worked fine. Thought maybe the camera for Auto brakes? But not sure the auto brakes uses a camera per say but some other thing that senses a car in front of you?? Happened only once about 3 weeks ago,

It uses the camera, if you have acc it uses the camera and the radar. Make sure the spot on the windshield is clean and if you installed a auto dimming mirror that used the camera harness wiring that its still intact.

Report it to nhtsa
Mine isn't part of the recall as well (24 XLT) and though I never got that msg it still lags and freezes on occasion.

Their fix to update software to what you and I have already have as a fix is a joke.

For the front camera you get a message on the instrument cluster that the camera is obscured.

There is a recall regarding reverse camera possibly freezing up. Not sure if this may be a part of it.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

The one thing that worries me about these kinds of messages is that if you take it to the dealer, they might decide to keep it until they can resolve the issue. Meaning, you're carless or subject to driving whatever "loaner" they have available for you in the meantime. Thanks to lawyers, they won't just let you drive it until parts are in if the issue is even remotely safety related.

I experienced an issue with the BLIS on my Escape and instead of just ordering the part and letting me know when it was in, they held the car that full time because BLIS is a safety feature and lawd forbid I actually use my mirrors to check for traffic in the next lane. Anyway, I was fortunate to have 2 vehicles at the time so it wasn't a major issue.

FWIW, I got the same message as the OP yesterday. It cleared itself and hasn't come back.

Mine definitely has a stutter to it. I noticed it most when backing into my garage, as that's the only time I really use the camera.
