Step up to the XLT if for no other reason better trade in/resale value.Mavericks are becoming plentiful so the new price of a 2025 is not much more than a used carvana or car max 2023-24. Sometimes less. You should get a base 25xl for 26-27k
Buy new and spend the extra $2,000 for the extended warranty out to 100,000 miles.
Try not to finance the extended warranty.
If you need efficiency get the hybrid. Only consider the Ecoboost if you need to tow or climb mountains a lot or like to go fast. Like Interstate drives. The turbo is very efficient at 80 mph. Not kidding !
In the city/urban environment the Mavbrid rains supreme.
I’m in a 2024 I bought new. Beat the $5,000 cost increase. But as the others say I’d buy a new 2025 over any used Mav. That $5K gives you more.
The Ecoboost does a respectable 27-31 mpg out in the open where it can run. BUT !
Inner city the Ecoboost will likely be in the 20-23 mpg range, depending on your right foot mostly.
