I also have never purchased extended warranties but that doesn't mean that's the right way for everyone. For some people they can be a piece of mind for the unexpected. Also, I truly think a large part depends on how long someone plans on keeping the vehicle. Are you trading it in for new model after 4-5 years? If so it probably isn't worth the added cost in most cases. What if you plan on keeping it a least 9-10 years? In that case it can make a lot more sense depending on the cost of the warranty itself.Well I might be old,but I am not an idiot.in my 64 years I have purchased numerous new and used vehicles,and have never needed an extended warranty. Waste of money in MY opinion. I can only say what works for me.
