I wear a size 13W, and have no issue at all. Looks like you drive with your foot too far up on the gas pedal.
I was thinking he would be go peddling with his little toe?

Size 13's here, but I'm a left-foot braker, so I'd be happy if the brake pedal was shifted an inch to the left.

Just bend the pedals apart.

Either the pedals are too close together or your feet aren’t far enough apart. 😜

I experieced the same a few times. It depends on the shoes I am wearing AND on my heel position.
If I wear work shoes it happens frequently. I agree, FoMoCo should tweak this as it is a truck.

I had that problem with my '87 Mustang GT (manual trans) and could not wear boots. So far, no similar issues with my size 12 tactical boots in the Maverick. I do on occasion catch the hood release on the way out, and wish Ford had shaped the lever a bit differently to avoid this. At least I haven't done it twice while on the interstate...

Agree. This might allow one to place their foot lower on the go pedal and avoid the issue. However, I suspect they may have shortened the go pedal to avoid the "go pedal caught in floor mat" recall that plagued Toyota, several years ago. It may have inadvertently created the problem that OP is having.
Aware of that Toyota thing. All I need is a half inch, keep catching my toe under the gas.

Thanks, I was pondering why it took two pulls🤗!

I think the steering wheel does telescope~~~ check it out.....
Thanks that is correct. As First Sergeant had stated earlier his Maverick has both tilt and telescoping wheel. That option is something I have rarely used and generally once setup I tend to forget about it. I'm used to driving larger vehicles i.e. RAM trucks and SUVs where the pedals are spaced further apart. While I have used the tilt feature, in the past I have never found it necessary to us the telescoping feature.

Thanks, I was pondering why [the hood release] took two pulls🤗!
From Goldfinger: "Mr. Bond, they have a saying in Chicago: Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. The third time it's enemy action."
Personally, I prefer the olde school design, where the final hood release must be done manually by reaching under the edge of the hood. That would 100% prevent accidental opening on the freeway. I wish I understood Ford's logic in eliminating that simple and useful safety feature that's served the industry well for decades.

Does anyone else have an issue with the brake pedal and pedal arm being too close to the gas.

Good Grief! Did you buy a Compact Truck?

Three options:

1. Cut off part of your foot,

2. Take the pedal cover off, and trim the right side of the brake pedal.

3. Learn how to drive it as is. I wear size 12 and don’t have this issue.
