surprisengly enough under the right conditions it seems that zinc can harm the part it was supposed to product,it is higher on the electromotive scale( its supposed to be a sacrificial anode of sorts) have seen stacked stacked galvanized steel pinhole, the proper stainless steel would be a much better deal

Having mixed and matched exhaust parts on different vehicles in the past, I would advise against that. Each manufacturer seems to use a slightly different steel, and when you put them together electrolytic differences mean they rot out real fast.

I tend to agree with you. As someone who grew up in the V8 muscle car era, 4- and 6-cylinder engines with loud exhaust sound like crap overall in my opinion.

Did you have to use a 2.25 to 2.5 adapter for the catalytic converter side? I'm asking because the install instructions say to use a 2.25 clamp on that side, so is the front pipe 2.25"?

Yes, that is the resonator I installed (Great build quality on the outside).

The clamps I used are pictured below. However, I did not clamp to the 2.25in OEM pipe - I clamped to Borla 2.5in pipe on both sides.

You will need to find a clamp that steps down to 2.25in.

Enjoy the nice sound. The name says “ultra quiet”, but is more of an ultra quiet loud low rumble if that makes sense!

With the ideas given from this post,
I had a Borla Exhaust installed on my 2024 Ecoboost 2.0l Maverick by Time Slip Motorsports Llc in Lehigh Acres FL this week.
The Borla kit by itself is WAY TOO LOUD!!
We welded on a Vibrant Ultra Quiet in the section where the two Borla pipes go together PLUS a bullet resonator right before the tip.

UPDATE:

Ok, my final verdict on the Borla Type 3 clamp-on catback exhaust I installed: Thumbs Up! (with a modification)

Alone it was WAY too loud & droned painfully at most rpm’s. Two neighbors politely made note - so I can only imagine the chagrin of the other dozen neighbors who did not confront me.

So I clamped on an additional small resonator/muffler and now it sound wonderful. Deep & low pitched not raspy LOUD. I can now hear the blaring radios of other drivers as I accelerate from a stop again. Traffic sounds are now audible & I can hear my fake engine sounds again yay

The 5in wide/22in long Magnaflow muffler was too long to fit on the Borla - so I used a smaller one found on Amazon. Pic below:

Unboxed my Borla today. Check out the tiny “Polyphonic Harmonizer” muffler & sweet chromed black tips

I’ve watched dozens of Borla Type 3 truck install vids - but none have the shape of the Maverick’s. Weighs 16.6lbs.

I’ll bump thread when I remove & weigh the OEM - along with a sound clip of the beastly 2.0 straight piped.

Lastly, I’ll post a sound clip of the Borla after I finish install.

The intestinal shape of the “muffler” should give me melodious fart sounds!

I’m fine with the Borla after I added a resonator. Still a bit louder at cold start than I’d like - but going to experiment with an exhaust wrap because I like to fiddle/futz around.

Magnaflow complete catbacks are still not available for my 25 Lobo…or Tremor. I would recommend a Magnaflow muffler for your 24 Tremor - even though I have not heard one on a Maverick.
