Purchased and took delivery of a 2025, XLT, LUX package, 4k, copilot. I can't for the life of me figure out where the connected navigation is i have the complimentary connected services and want to try out the ford navigation. I have already used the android wireless and it gives me navigation, but I want to not use my phone in the truck. I thought for sure the XLt with lux, included navigation, but i see nothjng on the screen that indicates it.. on my ford app, I see connected services is active

As stated I don't believe you have connected Nav on the XLT.

If I can share my experience - the map is worse than Google or Apple but the included weather map is pretty sweet. I wish RadarScope and CarPlay could be friends....

my 24 Lariat has factory navigation but I am not going to use it since it is a subscription after the trial ends

I have onboard navigation in my 24 Lariat for almost a year and there isn’t any subscription.

To my amazement, one of the salesmen connected my android to my 25' XLT Hybrid and I put in my address and the directions to get there were on the screen and talked me all the way to my driveway. I am not savvy, nor intelligent, but this system worked so well, I don't have to use my Garmin any longer. Good job Ford.

Huh? GPS is GPS... the signal from the satellite is there, you just need a receiver for it, not really different from a AM or FM radio signal., doesn't matter if it's a Garmin, TomTom, or an in-dash infotainment system. If somebody is trying to charge you a subscription fee for that you are getting ripped off. Yeah, I know you have to pay for Sirius/XM but that's different.

GPS is GPS but I guess the subscription is to get updates maps. Even if I press on the navigation button on my screen, it goes to google or Apple Maps depending on which one I used last.

I know that you had to subscribe for the satellite radio service which I never used.
Not surprised if ford would require a subscription now anyway to increase profits on the most popular ford product currently

But, it has to have a receiver and that is the screen in the truck. I am way too old to know how to realize technology today, so I accept what I can understand. Now I need to figure how to increase the volumn from the screen so I can hear the directions better/clearer.

I haven't 100% confirmed this but I think if you use the volume adjustment buttons on the steering wheel those will make the android auto louder. if you use the knob on the dash I think that will control the radio (if you have that on) or maybe it's more of a master volume. I haven't completely confirmed yet as I don't use android auto that much since I have to physically plug it in.

that is how it is on my rav4 as well. this seems like the way a lot of brands are headed. on slightly older rav4s the built in nav would always work but at some point you wouldn't get map updates anymore. now they all seem to just completely cut off your ability to use it if you don't subscribe.
