On my way into work this morning, I noticed that the D for Drive on the gauge cluster was alternately turning a bright red/orange before dimming to a less noticeable shade. I also saw something green flash for a split second at the bottom of the tachometer area but have no idea what icon it was.

Anyone else have this happen?

Aliens, along with Chris-G's suggestion of magic mushrooms would have made my drive into work infinitely more interesting. Sadly, just the lights doing weird things.

Seriously, the manual should show what the "idiot lights" on the dash OR just turn the key ON
all of the lights will show themselves.. Then you can find that green one..

"I have" the "Alien color" but no one has shown up Yet.... :alien: :cautious:

My owner books are under my seat, so I'll dig those out and see what I think it might be. It was a split second flash of green, that's all I saw.

I've noticed this behavior as well, at least with the PRNDL indicators. They seem to adjust brightness to ambient light a lot more noticeably than the screen and instrument backlighting. I think it's pretty neat how the brightness ramps up and down automatically.

This is the first time I've noticed it. Putting it on my list of Maverick Quirks.

Hi there! Would you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership name and location? I’d like to look into this concern on my end.
