So, one would think that when the phone call lowers the fan speed it could lower the blinken blinker dink. Is this a possibility for forscan?

I think we just need to sell and buy Tacomas. Of course Ford would use the cheap loud ass blinker sound.

I looked at Tacoma's for many years but they always used too much gas and cost $8-$10k too much so never bought.
Agreed. Loud blinkers aside, the Tacoma is a pretty boring product in my opinion. But I'm sure reliability is great.

On the plus side I'm never the guy with the blinker on for 5 miles.

Very easy solution for some of us (we know who we are) Just hit that button on the hearing aids! Poof!! Just like magic. Can't hear crap now! For you youngsters out there, don't worry, your time is coming!

Can slide into a 2024 TRD Off Road (the base trim I would take) for around $42k which puts it around $3k more than my 25 AWD Hybrid Lariat.

However that $42k TRD off road comes with a spartan interior awash in hard plastics that folks complain about on the $20k maverick. It comes with an 8 inch screen, lack of options, and no space in the rear.

It does have a ladder frame, rear locker, Toyota’s awesome crawl control/mode, and 4L, but not 4A.

It comes with a turbo 4 I’d like to avoid and gets 20ish mpg.

No doubt it is MORE truck with the frame, locker, crawl mode, tow capacity - but it is not a step up in quality. In time that additional truck will be more appealing to me as I transition to my mountain property full time but that would mean a trim and options approaching $50k.

That’s why the Mav AWD Hybrid Lariat with the efficiency, practicality and capability is well worth the $39k.

Even using hands-free is proven to be just as distracting while driving.
If you're a slow reader then reading the street signs can be distracting. Driving toward the setting sun can be more than distracting. Having to pee really bad in gridlock can be very distracting. We can never win.

Very different types of distraction, and the distraction of talking on the phone while driving can be avoided easily.

I'd say talking on the phone is about as distracting as talking to a passenger. Radios might also be considered distracting but they have been in cars for a really long time. The onus is on each individual to understand their own limits of focus.
