Does anyone have experience with black lug nuts (standard hex, not "tuner" style) for winter use that don't rust after exposure to road salt?

I've had chrome lug nuts that survived 7-8 winters with minimal rusting, but the black lug nuts I have now are rusting pretty badly after only 2 months!

I am considering these covers from Amazon for my snow tires. If your lug nuts are 1" deep they might be a simple solution.

I can hear the tire store technician cursing you right now when he tries to put an impact socket on these! 🤣
