Sounds like you've only had some commuter vehicles. My first used car was 360HP in 1982. First new truck was 360HP in 2000. Sounds like the 300T is a step in the right direction. Might even make it high 13 second 1/4mile capable. The Real fun starts in vehicles over 300hp though. The 2025 2.3 Turbo EB in the Mustang is rated at 315hp. The 300T Performance Package, using the 2.3’s bigger turbo, brings the Maverick up to 300hp
I’ve lived a mild mannered automotive life - never owning a 300hp vehicle. Never needed one. Still don’t.
But I may need to amend my bucket list. If the 300T turbo/intercooler installed is closer to $1000 than $2000 - I might pull the trigger![]()
I am happy the 2025 Hybrid Mavericks got a nice power bump even though they do not advertise it. It's useful torque.
In my mind the Maverick will never be a performance vehicle. It just is a great little commuter pickup.
V8'S are performance life. I've built plenty of V8's in my 44 years of owning cars.
