Driven smaller cars and a jeep patriot all my life.

I know the mav is longer than your typical vehicle. Do you think the size and shape will take getting used to? Or will it feel more like a normal vehicle than not?

Not talking ride quality, but rather turning reversing etc.

It has been an easy transition for me. Previous vehicle was a 2011 Soul.

I think I have watched nearly every review for the Ford Maverick, professional, you tube regulars and you tube real world owners. It is unanimous. They are mostly pleasantly surprised how it drives like a medium SUV or car like. Even the hard to please reviewers seem to be impressed with general ride quality and handling. All is well....

You will not even notice. My work truck 80 ft long, my airplane 37 ft wide, you get used to any size.

Remember to check your tailgate is up. That's about it.
Ain't that the truth. My current vehicles are a 2015 Mustang GT convertible and a 1990 Chevy Silverado 1500. It's pretty hard to get two vehicles that drive so differently. If I turned the wheel as much on the Mustang as I do on the Silverado, I'd spin the car out and end up on the side of the road if not on the other side of the freeway.

Still, I manage to go between the two of them with no problem.

It drives more like a SUV than a truck. Super easy and comfortable.

It's the length of a Ford Explorer, not tiny.
Ok, you're right. Better go get your CDL haha. Just kidding. But seriously its like 6 inches longer than a Toyota Camry. It feels small an easy to see everything. Been driving mine a few months and never owned a truck before. It's an easy truck to transition into.

It's bigger than you think especially if you have spent 13 years driving a four door hatchback. Lots of people like calling the Mav small but it's really not.

I had to get used to having 4 doors instead of just two with my maverick. I still can't stop pressing the back windows when I mean to press the fronts, or trying to open the back doors and forgetting they are still locked. lol. As far as size goes, I think most people should be fine, does sit up higher than a traditional car though if coming from a sedan as a daily.
