Hi y'all, I'm a first time truck owner and couldn't be happier about my maverick hybrid 24 so far. I'm looking for a dash cam front and rear, and ideally also on alert when parked, not sure if you had any battery issues? The more stealthy / factory built looking the better. Thanks!

I've been looking at:
Garmin Mini 2
Fitcamx
Viofo

I'm very happy with a Wolfbox 850 dash cam that replaces your rearview mirror. It includes a rear camera, voice recording, park mode, easy to install, and looks stock. My only regret, it does not have wifi, so to send a video file you have to remove the SD card and transfer the data to another device. They now make an 850pro that includes wifi.

I've had the Garmin 55 for years.
Perfect.
No longer sold as an older model, but I would likely get a new Garmin if I had to replace.

The small, magnetic mounts have been critical for me.
In Texas heat, any of the suction cup mounts or strong 3M adhesive tape never stick to the glass for long.
And, I have the front windshield ceramic tinted (70% rated, so still looks clear).
This makes suction cups and tapes stick even less.

Mounted very high on the glass behind the rear view mirror, it blends in a little, but does not look OEM
Does not block my vision from the driver's seat.

Thanks! Did you hide the cable or how did you go about that?

I put this 70Mai 2.7K UHD Dash Cam Front and Rear A500S in two vehicles now - a 2016 Ford Flex and now my 2024 Maverick. I bought it on Amazon. Also used their 70mai Hardwire Kit UP02, 10ft Micro USB Dash Cams, also from Amazon. With the $20 coupon on site, I paid about $110 plus tax total for both. I hooked both power wires (ACC & VCC) together on the same switched fuse (I think #1). I did this so the unit won't run my battery down with the Maverick turned off. I had to buy a fuse adapter from Amazon that was $12 and change, but you get two in the package.

Running the wires was simple. You just have to pull the right front A piller cover and run the wires behind the airbag, fish one end down to below the dash and zip tie it in a couple of places. Then you use a plastic trim tool to push the wires up behind the trim all the way back to the Speaker/C pillar cover, pop that cover off and the majority of your excess cable can go here, zip-tied, and finish pushing the wire in place until you get to the R/Rear camera placement. Make sure you leave room for the sliding window to open. You can find directions online.

I have a VanTrue capacitor driven (no battery) dash cam with a back window facing cam also.
Having a capacitor it doesn't cook the battery in the Nevada Heat like the battery operated cams I've had.

I like your wood trim accents. They blend well with your Lariat.

Easy to run the cable with my fingers into the headliner and down the A-pillar on passenger side, under the floor mat and plug into power socket.

I have the Cobra SC 250R front & rear 4k dash cams installed. I have them hardwired so parking mode functions properly. Footage is crystal clear at day & night.

I personally prefer to stay away from the Amazon brands. I have the Cobra in my Maverick and a Next Base Front & rear dash cam hard wired in my 2019 Explorer, with parking mode enabled as well.

Both work great there are many good options out there. I have no complaints about either brands I've installed.

I've got a Garmin 57 on the windshield, behind the mirror, and a Mini 2 on the back window, fed by a 2-output 12V to USB converter.

HRG,
What power adapter tap did you use?

I have this exact same setup of dual Garmin dash cameras. In my old car I just hardwired a cigarette lighter into the fuse box, used the Garmin provided dual usb adapter plug and connected both to it behind the trim. This worked for a while until the Garmin usb plug started going out leading to low power to the rear eating micro SD cards.

Thought about getting the Garmin OBD constant power adapter but then would have to route both usb cables to the driver footwell.

I like running something like this to behind the map lights instead - https://a.co/d/i3UsYw4

Could probably combine this with a plug and play harness to install a homelink mirror too that plugs into the maplights.
