Does the 3rd fold (upright against cab window) clear the front rack when in the lower position? I just installed my MX4 with these racks, and the MX4 can't completely fold open... it's about an inch too tall.
Unfortunately I have the same issue with the Ford OEM hard trifold. I can’t complete the last fold against the cab. When the racks are in the lowest setting. I resolved the issue with a partial solution for the few times I needed full bed access. I fold the cover against the racks as far as they will go and then attach the cleat/buckles and pull them as tight as possible. I wouldn’t suggest this for a long ride in a highway but it has worked okay for a few short trips where I needed. I attached pics showing where my cover hits the rack, and then my partial solution. You could also drill new holes for a custom height as in this other post from today -

l probably modify height on my elevate posts. Until then, I will fashion/3d print a small clamp that can secure the build in tonneux support rods at that position

That’s a great idea. If you are able to work out a viable 3D print solution, I’ll buy a set from you if you make an extra pair 😎

Is it possible that the Elevate top T brackets can be turned 180 degrees, so that the tighter radius is facing inboard, thus allowing the tonneau cover to clear the brackets ?

Good idea but that would not work bc it would then extend past the outside edge of the crossbar.

Maybe longer straps that go over the rail and connect to the clips???

That could possibly work. I think it might need to be a second strap extender that connects to the OEM strap/buckle but I believe a workable solution could be found. Thanks for the tip.

I'm a little late to this thread, but do you know if you're elevate racks can be adjusted and slid further back towards the tailgate to allow for that last fold to clear? Clearly the 1st fold clears the 1st rack, so curious if that position can be mimicked with the second rack and last fold.

yes, that would work. You can also raise the height of the rack to the higher setting. There are 2 height settings available, although I read in a recent post that they have now added a 3rd height position to the latest edition.

The only downside to those options is you have to get out the ratchet and remove or loosen the nut. Then either slide the rack toward tailgate on both sides, or remove bolts and then raise racks.
It can be done in a few minutes time but for me I would only make that effort if I was driving a long distance. For the dozen times I have needed the full bed over the last year they have all been short trips and so I just used the existing buckle straps and tightened the folded tonneau as best I could leaning against the racks.

I have the Elevate Rack/Rails with the Ford hard folding cover and can confirm the setup works

How quickly can you remove the rear most cross bar? Like if you had to get a fill of mulch and need it out the way?

you could do it in 2 mins or less. Only requires removal of 2 cap-nuts on each side with 1/2“ socket and then lift off the entire tower in one piece.

I'm kind of regretting ordering the hard folding tonneau cover, I need a rack system on the bed so I can but a clamshell for ski's on it. They just are not out there in a low profile that will work with the tonneau cover. Anyone know of a solution?
You could get a T-bar for the hitch and a roof rack. I do that for my canoes.
