Cheap DIY bed rack that works with tonneau cover

Yes, this really helps me. I've never made anything with this aluminum extrusion material, but it looks fairly straight forward. Even though this is for a Canadian supply, the details helps me order similar parts in the US. Thanks again, I'll start working on my set up.

Wow, that looks great!! I like that color Mav. Do the "H" cross beams make the whole set up seem more solid (not that the original setup isn't solid, I have yet to put mine together)? What fasteners did you use between the extrusion pieces? And what length would you recommend for the vertical pieces? I'd be interested to see how your rooftop box fits up there. My box is for my skis and is long enough that I will probably have to deal with the antenna being in the way. I'm thinking of moving the box to one side, but I'll have to overhang the cross bars one way or the other for it to fit. The other option for me would be to move the box way back so that it over hangs the back of the truck a foot or two. I might also try getting a stubby antenna, but hate to lose too much reception. Anyway, thanks for the pics and tolerating my questions!

I found this on the RealTruck website and thought this might be worth sharing. Even though it shows a picture of a F-150. They claim it will fit a Maverick. In case you don't want to DIY all the pieces/parts and have a full kit instead.

Late in on this thread, sorry. I'm considering making a DIY rack of my own. I don't have or plan to have a tonneau. It looks to me from the photos here and on the Real Truck site that the Elevate TS rails (and presumably the rails included on the Truxedo cover, as well) are really basically lengths of unistrut (like many of the rail systems for mounting on the sides of the bed), probably P1000 (1-5/8 x 1-5/8) with a couple of brackets added for tie-downs. Can anyone confirm (or refute) that?
