I literally got the DeeZee rubber bed mat from Amazon today. It's nice and thick and fits nice. It was less than $120. I'm pretty happy with the quality. :like:
DeeZee mat works great. Nothing slides around with this mat.

Included the Ford bed mat when I ordered the truck. Used Ford Rewards points to get the tailgate liner kit. Both work well and protect the body of the truck

Also, If you forgo a bedliner like I did you will want to protect the tailgate in addition to the bed. I purchased this one and feel it is every bit as good as the OEM one and only cost $38.00.

If you decide to buy the tailgate liner, then do your self a favor and purchase the hardware kit for $5.00. They are just plastic spacers that fit between the liner and metal for each of the 8 factory bolts you'll reuse to attach the liner.

The tailgate shield looks good to me but is currently out of stock. I'm responding to your post so I can find it again and buy one later. Thanks for the info.

I mostly haul either a full load of something soft (like compost or mulch in a large HFT tarp) or single items like an engine or furniture. I chose to skip the SIBL because it was a constrained item when my truck was ordered in '22. I eventually went with the $120 DeeZee #87027 Bed Mat. It's heavy rubber and stays in place on the freeway. It's grippy enough to stay put and keep most items from sliding around, strong enough to withstand abuse, and soft enough to not mar delicate surfaces. It also has fingers on the bottom to vent entrapped water and removes quickly for those rare cases when I clean or wash the Mav. Eventually I also added the $32 TrailFX Tailgate Liner #RFMA22TG which is hard plastic, so I have to be careful sliding furniture over that. Many good options exist, and you'll be happy with all of them. You gotta be you.

Any thoughts on a bed mat that will keep stuff from sliding. Should I go with rubber or is the TPE anti-slip? Or just go for a spray in liner?
I got the spray in liner and am happy with it for the anti slip properties and the fact that it covers the entire interior of the bed. Budget wise there are plenty of other options listed as replies here too though

I put in 4'x5' rubber floor mat from Home Depot $38. It is a little big. I was going to trim it, but I got to liking how it rolls up the sides a bit. It did take a few weeks for it to form to the bed. The extra length covers the gap when the tailgate is down. However is does need to be manually rolled a bit so it doesn't pinch when closing the tailgate. Tailgate liner is stock Ford purchased with points.
I have a tri-fold cover so it doesn't blow around. As others mentioned, the wind will catch it.
Pardon the leftover mulch. Needs a vacuuming.

The mulch just adds charm. Kind of like the weird white stuff that remains after my Son-in-law borrowed my truck. I just keep telling myself it's "Charm".

Copied/pasted from a post that I did in July of 2022 - of course I cannot say if this part number and pricing are still valid.........

For any who might have interest in a basic rubber bed mat for their Maverick...

While awaiting delivery of my 2022 Maverick XL hybrid, reserved mid-July of 2021, I began looking for a basic rubber bed mat. I had one of those mats in both my 86 Ranger XLT 2.9L V6 5-spd and my 00 Ranger XLT Sport 4.0L V6 5-spd.

I did a lot of internet searching including these forums, and made many phone calls. I came up blank. Then, after I took delivery of the new truck 07/23/22 I tried the searches again. This time around I got a hit for the FORD (factory) Accessories web site.

I was able to find exactly what I wanted, and they stamp the Maverick name in it as well. With the 20% discount they showed available thru 07/31/22 it was only ~$137 including basic shipping and sales tax, and arrived a few days after I ordered it. They referred to p/n NZ6Z99112A15B.1

Cheap bastard that I am, I bought a 4' x 6' x 3/4" horse mat from a farm supply store for $43.95. I made a pattern by taping bits of cardboard together to fit the contours. Then I transferred the pattern to the horse mat. I used a jigsaw with a course blade to trim to the lines. This is best done at low speed on a cool day. You will tend to melt the rubber. The rubber is generally recycled ground up tires.
This is the same method I used for my 2009 Ranger which still has its bed in unblemished condition.

Best combo is Ford spray in liner...with Ford bed mat. Things will slide on just the liner. Need the rubber mat for sure.

I have this one from Mabett. It came with floor mats and sill protectors. I have had it for 6 months and have been very happy with it.

I just got this one a week ago and wouldn't recommend it - https://www.ford.com/product/impact...th-tailgate-cover-by-husky-liners-p2736219368

Functionally, it's ok - it does make it more comfortable to kneel in the bed and does give the bed more protection but it's absolutely not worth the price. As soon as I opened it I was disappointed, the photos on Ford's site are terrible so you can't really see exactly what you're getting. I thought I was getting something with a soft pad on the bottom and at least a partially soft top. The description does say TPO for the top which is a plastic type material, but the photo clarity is such that it almost looks like there is a soft covering over the top as well. The padded bottom does protect knees from the roughness of the bed but it's that kind of crappy plastic foam type material (Polyethylene) that tends to tear / cut pretty easily.

Case in point, so far I've had only one opportunity to test the liner out. I had a top / bottom style refrigerator (so not very big or heavy) in the back that I only drove about 2 blocks with and now I have a few permanent deep indentations / gouges in the top of the liner. I can't say for sure but feel like if the pad underneath was a different material / denser (like rubber) and the top had more softness to it as well, it might have dented but either bounced back or just had small indentations instead of deep gouges.

Ford Maverick Bed Mat PXL_20250902_214502238

On top of all that, it doesn't even fit that well. There are some gaps in various places including a decent size one the entire width of the bed at the bulkhead, and while the anchors near the bulkhead fit through the cutouts they just barely do, and they could probably be folded down flat but at the risk of doing damage to the liner (at a minimum, crushing the foam pad beneath them).

All that said, I decided not to return it because:

1. I used my reward points and the Labor day discount to get the price down to $100, which is between $50 - $75 less than the other bed mats / tailgate protectors that I was looking at. I've been looking for something to get with my reward points over the past few months and was having a hard time finding anything from Ford that I felt was worth using those points on and have no idea how long it might be (if ever) before they add something else that I'm interested in.

2. Ford's return policy is...not great: my local dealership wasn't listed when placing the order so I had to have it shipped directly to me which means I'd be paying return shipping, and while it's not a heavy box, it's very big. From the size alone my guess is it would cost me $40+ to ship it. Besides that, the original box was stapled all down one side and difficult to open, so I did a fair amount of damage to the box just getting it open and Ford says everything including the original box needs to be in like new / unused / resalable condition, otherwise they might deny the return.

3. It does what it's supposed to do.
(just not as well as I'd like and it wasn't really what I was expecting)

One thing I do like about it is that the liner and tailgate protector are connected so the gap is covered. Seems like all the others I looked at were two separate pieces.

Anyway, that's a lot of words to say I don't think you should get this one.
