My Maverick XLT is on the way as I got my shipped email last week. To say I am excited is an understatement. I am wondering about bed liner options. My initial thought is to do a spray-in liner. For those who have some type of liner (spray, drop, rug, etc.) how have you liked them so far, and if you had the option to change to something else, would you? I'm looking for pros and cons because I want to make sure I get what fits my needs, and since I've never owned a truck I am just looking at all the options. Thanks in advance!

I ordered mine with the SIBL, but for those without the SIBL, I hear LineX is pretty good as a substitute to the factory spray-in.

What are your needs from a bed liner?
For drop-in, the Ford modular is hard to beat bang-for-buck if using 42000 Ford Points.
Mine was delivered to my home for ~$170.

I am a high school band director and I'll primarily be using it to transport larger musical instruments and the occasional random normal-life recreational things (disc golf bags, plywood, ect)

Sounds like you might want a rug, unless you don't mind the instrument cases getting a little beat up.

Get a drop in, unlike a spray in they are smooth and won't scratch your stuff.

I wasn't able to get the factory SIBL, but got the Line-X after I got the truck. I'm completely satisfied with the job they did, not sure that it may be a little better than the factory based on comments by others. I also got the XLT Bed Mat by Bedrug (covers the bed floor & tailgate), from Realtruck. So far I love it. I'll give you a couple of pics. Based on the use you mentioned, you might really like the bed rug that covers the sides as well. Those band instrument cases might really love that and you was well as you can slide them in and out with much greater ease than on the harsher SIBL.

You can get a nice discount from Realtruck if you use their guy that's here on this message board.

Good luck and enjoy your truck!

https://realtruck.com/p/bedrug-full-bedliner/v/ford/maverick/2022/

Full Bed Rug bedliner or

https://accessories.ford.com/products/bedrug-sportliner-with-tailgate-cover-for-4-5-bed

You can use your FordPass Rewards points on that.

It is carpet with a bit of foam cushion and keeps things from sliding around too easily. You'll be able to slide things in and out nicely with a BedRug. It's also comfy so you can lay back there and relax if you want lol.

I ordered a modular bedliner using points at Ford dealer. I use points, but if I cancel my order, my points disappear... I can choose something else but I didn't find anything I want to buy except a bedliner...

I got my done by Line-X about 2 moths ago. Been very happy with it. They did a fantastic job. Textured enough to help keep stuff in place, but not so rough that it tears up your knees or anything like that. I've had everything from 20lb propane tanks to sod to landscaping bricks/rocks to groceries and always cleans easily with no marks or scratches.
