Bed drawers for tools

[Uselessness]

I contacted decked and they told me they weren't going to make anything for our trucks. So I decided to make my own.

Coated the top with roll on bed liner and everything else with urethane.
Used 2x8 for the side and 1/2 ply for everything else. Aluminum trim for the top outer edge. Handle from Amazon and 350lbs locking rails also from Amazon.

I waited 7 months for mine hopefully you get yours soon. I love my truck. Still have the lift kit sitting in the living room. That's probably gonna be next.

Very nicely done. I went with a pull out tray. Will paint it black when weather gets warm.

Nice! I wanted locked storage for tools and still be able to use the top to haul tall and heavy things that's why I went that route.

This was me testing the strength of the drawers before final assembly, I'm about 140lbs. The drawers have a 1/8 gap at the bottom. The drawers still slid in and out smoothly.

Made it pressure fit. Had to damn near dropkick it in. Only way it's ever coming out is if I destroy it. I also painted over the screws on top with bed liner. gonna look underneath for the water drain holes and maybe put a few screws in if it's accessible. Finished it last night so it was too dark and I was too tired.

Nice work. I plan on a small bed box by rear window with room underneath.

I like the pull out tray best adding bins like Mileaukee pack out system that’s water tight. Leaves versatility for height. Would like to see more details on your build. Nice job!
