I put some ratchet straps and bungee cords in mine.
That's what's in mine, some ratchet straps, bungee cords and red reflector (I use instead of a flag).

Lol I have a ratchet strap new in the package sitting in the garage for at least a year. As soon as I get Maverick I'll have a better use for it!!

That was my plan. Curious if you hear them (ratchet parts) bang around when you're driving?
I don't think I have any need for the cubby. It's a bonus space. The underseat storage (even half since I've ordered a hybrid) will be plenty. Additional storage spaces are great, but for me they just accumulate crap.
The ratchets straps are in a bag and it fits in the bottom part the cubby space under the cover. I have a few bungee cords in the top part. fits perfectly and handy if I need some. No rattles or noise.

What Scotch and where are you parking :giggle:
I don't have the truck yet but when I do it will have a bottle of BALVENIE 15 YEAR OLD SHERRY CASK SCOTCH WHISKY in the cubby.

I keep this stored under the bottom of the cubby. I'll put some ratchet straps in the top part. Under the backseat storage is going to hold a tire inflator.

Could be worse. Other trucks have no cubbies at all. How large would you like it to be? A reciprocating saw or an acetylene torch can fix your problem.
Not meant to be insulting rather a curiosity - is the OP a first time truck owner?

I've owned many trucks, from an '84 Mazda B2000 to F-150's, and I will say the Maverick's got more storage nooks, crannies, cubbies, whatever, than any of my previous trucks.
I think the bed cubbies are great. And tiedowns and bungees definitely come to mind.

And how many honestly have gloves in the glove compartment?
Now I want to toss a single glove in the glove box... just 'cause. I can't put a pair there because then it would be a "gloves box." ;):D
