Please be careful with the Amazon & eBay pigtails.
Agreed, have updated my post. Ran into many issues with the non-Ford parts being too under gauged and blade way smaller than useful. Hope others reach this post before ordering.
If using after market pigtails be careful using the wire color for polarity. Many of these pigtails were manufactured for speaker hook up not 12v power. It is best to plug it in and check the polarity to be sure. Also note the other recent posts about the wire size of the after market pigtails.Question regarding this pigtail connector. White wire (positive) has larger terminal (fit perfectly on the positive connector of the 12 V outlet). Black one has much smaller terminal. How to connect it to the large negative contact on the outlet? Cut and replace with the larger terminal?
Also my Ginsco 12V outlet has a fuse and a wire. As I understand it would be nice to use a fuse in this potentially wet place. How to connect it between the pigtail and the outlet?

I find it interesting that non that I have sen so far on Amazon or eBay give the wire size. Some are labeled as speaker connectors but some are advertised specifically for he Maverick Flex-Bed
The blade size is an indicator of wire size. If you need a larger blade you need a larger sized wire to power the device! Order the correct size pigtail.
One of the issue I found is that most of the pigtails on Amazon and eBay do not include the wire gauge (size)
Lack of proper descriptions for everything on web sites is lacking. I will request info or more often will not purchase because of no info. It may be better to buy wire and correct size spade connectors but will wind up with a multiyear/Lifetime supply. I just bought a 3 year supply of Samsung refrigerator water filters at Lowes.com because they were 25% off with a 2 pack and an additional 10% off if 2 or more 2 packs were purchased. When last of these filters die the fridge will be 15+ years old and the new ones using the iso butane coolant are much more efficient.
Note the spades and blades are sized to match wire gage. If you are buy pre mated to wire and you need to up size spade or blade the wire will most likely be undersized.
