24 Mav started showing "Battery Saver" mode on the Ford app. Started off only happening once in a while. After about two weeks it popped up every morning and sometimes during the day. Went to dealership where they had it almost a full day and diagnosed it as a bad battery. Its been almost a month now and this morning when I went to use the remote start, "battery saver" was showing again.
Anybody have the same problem and if so, what did you do to resolve the problem?

Mine has done it twice now that it's cold outside. Yesterday I temporarily installed a NOCO GEN5x1 under the hood and a plug in in the bumper. We'll see what happens. I don't drive it as often now that the salt slop is around. If it keeps it from deep sleep mode I will permanently mount the charger .

LMAO, a PHEV. Plug in Electric Hybrid Vehicle. That is no solution, it's a, Kick the can down the road fix. My problem was eventually solved on my third battery, I hope. Dealer programming and a larger CCA battery than it came with when I purchased.

Yes many of us have had this problem. Do a search and read all the threads. There are real fixes for some that work. Personally, I wouldn't keep the battery going by charging it, unless you want to continue until you sell and or the warranty runs out.

Have you measured the battery with a multimeter 1st thing in morning - is it actually a low battery?
Seen the lights going off sooner and sooner when you get in/get out?

Find your paperwork - when you had it in for the "bad" battery replacement under warranty - seems it should have been recent enough you'd get an AGM style now.
Your morning test will make that obvious.

Does your work order show they did an ACCM software update, for possible intermittent battery drain?

Since it went so quick - that may be the issue this time. Perhaps it was last time too, they just saw bad battery.

How much do you drive it for time? (miles don't matter on hybrid, for 12VB charging, time matters)

Since you must not scan down the list of thread topics very often - if you want to know if it happens to others - look at the 5 similar threads below yours now.
Ya - it happens a lot.

I had the Dealer install a AGM Battery at my expense and have not had any issues since, 2024 Maverick Lariat Hybrid. Last week's temps were around 5 degrees with the Mav setting outside at the clinic from 4:30 am to 9:00 am. The next hiccup it will probably be gone for a Toyota Rav4.

Yes, I had the same problem on my 2024 lariat hybrid. I went to the dealer and they told me my battery was good. Got home and I was back in battery saver mode again. What I did was reset my BMS battery monitoring system. To do this you have to turn your ignition on but not start the truck flash your high beams five times then immediately step on your break three times. You will see the battery icon on the dash flash. You will have many on here. Tell you that you shouldn’t do this and some that say that it doesn’t cause any problems. I went two weeks without any issues and had to reset it one more time and have not had the issue again. If the dealer says my battery is good this was my best option. They wanted me to leave my vehicle with them for a couple days and check for a parasitic draw on the battery. This has not caused any further issues for me. At least now I can use my remote start and all my features. To all the naysayers on here they wouldn’t put the BMS reset in the owners manual if they didn’t think a consumer could use it without damaging their vehicle.

I had the same prob and ultimately my mav wouldn't start. Did the ACCM update at dealer and that failed. They then put in an AGM battery and then in two days I had battery saver message again. I had to go on holidays so my mav is parked for a week indoors. Will see if it actually starts tomorrow when I get back. I also pulled fuse 11/12 to shut off communication with my app to see if it helps drain issues. Let's see.....

Do your homework before you go jumping to any Toyota hybrid; they too, seem to have adapted a BMS and it's software that is not friendly to the smaller 12v batteries most hybrids are equipped with. I have looked at some of the forums for their hybrids and thought I was reading here. Their BMS does seem to charge the battery slightly better than Fords, however. There are still many threads discussing the problem.

Just make sure before you do the BMS reset and learn is to make sure the battery is fully charged.

Since Im new to this whole hybrid scene and everybody is throwing out all these abbreviations I have no idea as what most of them mean. Is there a place where I can see a list of them and what they mean? Thanks

You best ask which abbreviations you want to know. There won't be a designated list anywhere.

For those who think just swapping the battery from flooded to AGM will solve the Battery Saver Mode alerts I can attest that it is not the solution. On my 2023 hybrid I replaced my battery after 2 years of alerts with an AGM and used ForScan to change battery state of charge from 80% to 100%. Yesterday after almost exactly three months I got the annoying alert again. I think the main issue with mine is that I do not drive it a lot, maybe once or twice a week around town for errands so not getting a good recharge. Another possibility is my added Ford alarm system with led that may be drawing current?

I drive mine a lot and still get the messages esp when it's cold outside. And I just switched to AGM.
