I have a 2024 non hybrid with the 2.0 non turbo xlt. While parked in a garage it will randomly sound like a solenoid shifting and an electric motor cycling for a few seconds even though it has not been touched for days or even weeks. I believe this is why after being parked for a week to two weeks goes into battery saver mode which will not allow a remote start of will not turn dome light on when a door is opened. What is cycling and why? I have read the hybrids do this but mine is not a hybrid.

Might be the truck checking its system status and sending/receiving info to Ford (for the app, etc.).

I assume BCM Fuse 11 is the same for non-hybrids. If so, can pull that and see if anything changes.

If really 2 weeks non-started - it does Deep Sleep Mode and disables the modem.
Just to save on some drain to the 12VB.

Other clicks - tests of the evap system, fuel pressure valves, ect.

If it's not being unlocked, opened, locked - the battery saver functions are meaningless, as lights are already off.
If you are opening doors, ya voltage low enough it'll do that. And may require starting/driving to get out of it.

It may also be doing it's BMS Relearn if truck is locked. Happens every so often, though I'd bet it stops if non-started for awhile or battery V too low.

Oh - you said you have the non turbo.
Yes you do.

Agree with the above. I cannot remember exactly how long, the manual does say the truck will go into battery saver mode, regardless of charge level, after a set period of time. It's less than a week.

2 factors that the driver can check. The other is Ford's SOC scale to 40% or below.

Deep Sleep mode is designed to conserve your vehicle's battery power. This setting is activated when your vehicle falls under the following conditions:

  • Vehicle inactivity for 14 consecutive days
  • The battery voltage drops below 9.5 volts
  • Extremely cold/hot weather conditions
