All it takes is 1 paragraph, well and a terrible matching of picture to paragraph - to make me doubt their ability to double-check the AI writer.

Everstart pic, within this list of worst batteries to avoid - is the Platinum, which they then explain is highly rated actually, it's the others with a problem.
Wrong image then.

And then this - wrong battery size.
uh - H4, NOT H5 - unless you want to hack at plastic & metal to make it fit.

"Customer reviews on Walmart for EverStart AGM H5 tend to be favorable in the short term, with many buyers reporting that the battery immediately resolved low-voltage or no-start symptoms. This also aligns with forum discussions on vehicles such as the Ford Maverick Hybrid and Hyundai Ioniq 5, where owners describe installing an EverStart AGM H5 as a practical AGM replacement for a weak factory 12-V battery."

At least they are confirming my plan to get the Platinum when I've run out of warranty batteries.

It's worth getting the info straight from CR. The subscription will more than pay for itself with just one purchase.

Not only does CR save money, it saves time and hassle.

Here's an example of what their battery ratings look like:

At least they leave their "writer" credit unambiguous - NIGERIA. Unfortunately he must not be related to the prince that left me all his money.

OP, please avoid AI slop websites and passing them on for others to view.

Take CRs "OPINION" with a grain of salt.
Testing results is one thing.
Surveys and opinion based on them are another.

That's true.

CR's testing is still objective and solid, but they are also publishing more articles that are little more than informed opinion pieces.

Of course their subscriber surveys are less than rigidly scientific. Still, with hundreds of thousands of replies they are useful.

Their battery reviews are a good example of very helpful objective lab testing. That's worlds better than relying on anecdotal online comments.

In the partial ratings I pasted above, those 4 top-rated batteries range in price from $170 to $363 -- almost a $200 difference! If a person didn't know better and assumed 'you get what you pay for' they might buy the $363 battery. Having the CR ratings would save them almost $200.

That's just one example. Take vacuum cleaners, in the ratings a few years ago, the crazy expensive brands like Kirby (~$1,200) were rated much lower than some $250-$300 models.

One drawback is that CR cannot always test for reliability & durability. Sometimes they can do accelerated testing, but durability is often based on construction quality and perhaps survey results.
