Pointless since they are working on a fix. No one will throw a more expensive AGM until clear instructions come out.

My bet is that whatever fix they come out will solve battery issues for 97% of people.
I'm betting the issue and fix as stated in the SSM will help the 3% of people with overall battery issues.
I hope I'm wrong.

But dealership is going to pass the buck as long as they can.

So the BXT-99RT4-A battery isn't AGM because the dealer told me it was?

Take a pic and post it here just to be sure. Unfortunately, not sure you can trust anything a Ford dealer says anymore...................................................

That's their stance and it's not likely to change.

The dealer may have paid for it themselves.... or put in a different battery than they claimed to Ford.
Or a Ford Field Service Engineer may have given permission for a different battery?? That might be a possibility? They will at times overrule normal warranty policy.

Ford is very picky about battery warranty claims. Every single one of them is manually reviewed. I can't see how Ford would pay for any battery other than BXT-99RT4-A in a hybrid Maverick unless special permission was received.
If I recall correctly there was a shortage of the stock batteries for a while and Ford had allowed the dealers to make substitutions.

NO 2022 - 2024 Maverick Hybrid has ever come from the factory with an AGM battery even though the module is programmed for an AGM battery. Thank you FORScan !

Since 2025 Hybrid models now come with an AGM battery perhaps Ford has seen the light.

So the BXT-99RT4-A battery isn't AGM because the dealer told me it was?
Correct, BXT-99RT4-A is the lead acid battery that the workshop manual calls for for 22-24 Maverick hybrids. BXTs are always conventional flooded lead-acid batteries.

The Ford part numbers for AGM batteries always(/usually?) start with BAGM.
The AGM battery in the 25 Maverick hybrid is # BAGM-H4.

I requested an AGM replacement on several occasions. There aren't budging.
Depends on the stealership and circumstances. Several have posted on MTC they have received AGM replacement batteries.

I updated my tracking today and took a look at my 12V batteries average voltage since installing the voltage monitor.

I am not liking the trend...

I hope the fix comes sooner than later. I would rather get it fixed under warranty if possible.

(This is the batteries average voltage excluding any charging over 13.5+ volts.)

Looks to me like you're in great shape. My voltage ends up at 11.6 or lower every day.

Nah, that SSM is temporary and it clearly states that they are working on a software fix.

Big question will be under what circumstances will you get new software. If battery tests fine, it's a mute point (as we all know it's a BS test) and dealer will send you on your way.

May be pointless, but those of us who have AGM batteries haven't suffered a dead battery. Also, the Maverick Hybrid in forscan is formulated for an AGM battery. All I am trying to see is if the dealership service departments are at least in the know about this. That's all. Putting in a flooded battery is a temporary fix. Most of us (including me) have installed our own AGM batteries and have not had a "dead" battery.

I still get the occasional "sleep" message, but its been since May of 2024 that I put in my AGM battery and it removes the "sleep" issue just driving 3 miles. And, after a sleep message and driving only 3 or 5 miles, it's weeks before I see another one. My original flooded battery gave me a sleep message within 4 weeks after I got the truck new and died the next morning. I got a flooded battery installed and it died within 8 weeks.

My AGM battery is still going strong since May 2024.
I wish mine did, MY AGM went into deep sleep mode in about two weeks after I put it in. did the BMS reset and went on a 200 mile trip. . then it sat in front of my house and still drained. The dealer did a parasitic drain test and said it was in specs. so Cmon FORD. going to try a solar trickle charger to keep it alive. grrr.

Just found this thread and wanted to add my experience in my '24 Hybrid thus far. Got deep sleep/battery saver notification for the first time in mid December. Drove a decent amount, including a trip to the airport to leave for a few days for Christmas. Got another notification the day before I got back, but truck still started without issue on 12/27. Drove it the 75 miles home from the airport plus another 60 or so miles that day. Still ended up getting the battery saver notification, and by 12/30 the truck wouldn't start at all.

Had truck towed to dealership, diagnosed as a battery failure due to sulfation. Replaced under warranty with another BXT-99RT4-A, BMS reset, and got truck back on 1/2. Woke up to the same battery saver notification with the new battery, and truck won't start again on 1/3. Back to the drawing board...

Yikes.
Well, except for that 12/30 day - the battery saver and deep sleep routines worked to allow truck to start.

Would be hard to believe you got a bad battery as next one off their shelf - but that is possible.
Not like any of them are really great anyway.
Might take a peak at Negative battery terminal - mfg date is stamped there.

Well I set up the pivot to show the worst voltages at starting of the truck...
