Happy Thanksgiving, Mavericks ! I've had and totally love my '22 XL Ecoboost AWD. I've got around 45000 miles on it after about 19 months now. Tuesday night coming home from work, all these lights/ warnings came on . AWD temporarily not available (this one was off and on a few times) no accident avoidance, no ABS , hill accent not available. They all went off for a mile or two, then back on , then off by the time I got home . Drove to work on Wednesday, after about 25 miles, everything came back on again and stayed light up. Now it won't let me change drive modes( says unavailable) .The truck drives fine , no noises or anything else 🙄. Twice in the last 2 months, the remote start ( thru the app) was unavailable, " saving battery drain" was what I believe it said. SO.......any ideas ? Is this the precursor of needing a new battery? I will schedule to bring it into service, but really don't want to pay the dealership price for a new battery if that's all it is .

Unfortunately this is not uncommon and it has happened much sooner to other drivers. It goes back to the Battery Management System (BMS) but there is no clear answer to date. There are many threads that continue to get updated posts. Do a search on bad battery or BMS and you can get a good idea of the issue. Good luck.

Just skip the Dealer visit and buy a new battery. Go to Batteries Plus and get a New AGM Battery with 4 year full replacement if needed.

You won't have to pay for a new battery,it's covered under the 3 year factory warranty.that said, the factory battery in my ram lasted 9 years.i would hope the battery in your maverick wouldn't be bad after only a year!

Yep, I've had my truck almost two weeks now. Yesterday I went to unlock it with the keypad and no joy, it wouldn't illuminate with my key presses. After looking in the manual I learned a low battery might be the culprit. Put it on a charger, and sure enough my keypad is now working again.

Unfortunately in our climate I doubt this FoMoCo battery will hold its charge for long. It's discouraging to buy a brand new truck and find it has a bad battery.

Thank you for your input. That does suck ! I had no idea these auto start/stop had "special" batteries. Not cheap . And that some trucks got EFB batteries, which , now that I've investigated this, don't last nearly as long as the AGM batteries. I'm going to start by replacing the battery. If that doesn't fix things , then to the dealership. At least it will eliminate the battery as the culprit, and not get stuck paying an outrageous price for a battery. Thank you again.

I have had my hybrid for 21 months and have not had a deep sleep yet though a couple of cabin lights not shining but has always started. If I go three years and past warranty without replacement I will spring for a 99.99+% pure lead battery which should handle the faster more frequent recharging from 11.6 volts (or less) better the OEM "enhanced" lead alloy one. I have over a year left on warranty time but if I start having deep sleep and dealer problems I might change plans???
