Yes. Same thing with me yesterday. Sounds like the fix needs a fix. Hopefully a minor issue
The thread from Fordvideoguy said the battery needs to be at 100% charge before the recall can be performed.

Maverick Rearview Camera Recall Fix is Out!

I'm wondering if the dealer skipped that step and update checks for it. Keep us posted.

There's also a recall for the battery. Maybe that needs to be done first?

I just spent 3 hours waiting for my maverick to be updated. End result: they couldn’t load the program. Anyone else have this problem.
Microsoft informed me that my PC was not compatible with Windows 11 and I needed to buy a new one. Maybe your truck isn't compatible with the update and they want you to buy a 25 :wink:

There's also a recall for the battery.
Only on the ecoboost.

Battery should be fully charged to 100%. And the dealer should connect the truck to an external charger during software update, to prevent truck from possibly going into battery saver mode. Some have posted that their dealer did not do that.

That's the exact reason I quit using PC's and laptop's. My cell phone is newer and faster than any pc or laptop I have owned. Besides, it is easier to use a cell phone as a computer in my car then the alternative below👇👇👇👇

I just spent 3 hours waiting for my maverick to be updated. End result: they couldn’t load the program. Anyone else have this problem.
We've had some here that we've needed to program twice because it didn't work the first time. Some have taken 3+ hours to successfully reprogram.

Unfortunately, reprogramming the infotainment software (usually APIM, but ACM in the case of this recall) very often has issues because the files are so huge. It is probably the most problematic part of a vehicle to do a software update on!

Sometimes the ability to follow directions helps... I've posted this before but here it is again to help clarify the service manuals procedure.... which you would think a dealership service department would be following....


From page 6849 of the service manual:

Electrical Energy Management System

NOTICE: When any vehicle module is being programmed, connect an external battery charger to make sure the module programming is completed without interruption due to the load shedding feature becoming active. The external battery charger must maintain a system voltage above 13 volts. This may require a charger setting higher than the lowest charge setting. The external battery charger negative connection must be made to an engine or vehicle chassis ground and not the negative battery terminal. If the connection is to the negative battery terminal, load shedding may begin and module programming may be corrupted. After charging has begun, start the engine to clear any load shed states and then turn the engine off and proceed with programming.

I had my recall (backup can) done yesterday without issue.

They replace my battery for a second time in less than a year as we wait for deep sleep/charging recall too materialize.
