Better maybe. . Sorry to say it but it loooks really ......
Thanks..my others were a lot smoother looking!
Looks like it's made so someone could carry a ladder at an angle.
I use it to carry my arcade games standing upright. That way I can carry 2-3 and strap them to the backrack instead of just one at a time.

All rail fasteners should be under the rail…per instructions. no drilling. Reposition the bolts as shown in the diagram and it’ll probably look awesome. See attached pic of hardware mounting.

Post new pics when you get it repositioned please. I’m interested in a Back Rack too.

Hold up, did you drill holes in your truck for that?

Yea, looks like Back Rack just phoned it in with the installation design and/or the instructions.

I saw this and tried every combination to try and make it work but in the end you’ll see this is the only way you could actually mount it.

Your DIBL is in the way which is why the bolts are canted over to the side, you’ll need to cut it like you did pictured on the other side. The jam nut does not go against the bolt head, it serves no purpose there.. it appears the bolts draw the black brackets down tight on top of the bed rails where you drilled the holes....

The clamp plates get double sided taped to the under side of the truck bed rail and the 2 bolts on each side contact those plates rather than the thin bed channel.

I would test fit, then fill those holes with a dab of silicon to prevent water penetration and rust, then tighten down again.

Good luck

ahhh dang it..but I think I get it. The front and rear nuts create a locking pressure point under the bed rail and fit in those holes…I will try that..not sure if it will work but it’s totally worth a shot!

The liner looks like it’s getting in the way. Send some pics to: email: [email protected] and see what they say. The instructions recommend removing the liner. Gotta be a more graceful way to mount the rack.

Probably best to notch the DIBL so that you can easily check and re-tighten the clamp bolts periodically.

The final installation will likely cover the drilled holes. Post up some final pics, we all make mistakes..

Good luck

Well..Backrack Headache rack installed.
Directions are terrible and I’ve installed backracks on other vehicles that went great before.

Unlike advertised, this is 100% drill mandatory (through plastic bed rail protectors).

It was a PITA and I did the best I could. No other way to mount as far as I could tell (read directions thoroughly).

It is very solid but looks sloppy and terrible up close!

I think I will look ok once you lower it about 2 inches (flush with the bed rails). If you need it for your pinball business then Keep it! An Absolute must would be to black out the huge Logos (just black duct tape or paint over them if you keep the rack).
Very nice truck! love the Atlas blue... and best of all Sweet Bike! I see another one, but can't tell what they are.
