I’ve scheduled a service appointment on Thursday for this, but was wondering if anybody has experienced it. This weekend I noticed a rattle (almost like a flapping sound) that seems to be coming from the B-pillar panel where the curtain airbag is. I only hear it if I’m going 70+ mph though.

Has this happened to anybody? My initial thought was to remove the panel and see if anything is loose, but I don’t want to mess around with the area where an airbag is.

Is it the pillar or the top left of the door where it meets the plastic?

Mike is in for the issue above as well as dash rattles and popping. Dealership has no idea how to fix it, so they sent a note to Ford. We'll see how long it takes...

check the insulation to the engine from the front side of the door (door must be fully opened to see) . my insulation was not properly set in place and was causing some weird whistling

I can hear it when I move my head closer to the seat belt opening, which is why I believe it’s behind the plastic panel, but it could be that too given that it’s more of a whistle than a rattle

I have a rattle in my driver side A pillar. I took the trim off/loose today and taped any plastic connectors that moved, even put some padding in areas, not to obstruct the airbag.
It did not make a difference. Wondering if it's how the Windshield it attached/connected that may be loose or something. Getting my cracked windshield replaced soon when they get one, so I'll see if that fixes it before taking it in to Ford.

Hi there! I can look into this for you. Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer?

Same issue on my 2023 Lariat Lux. Loud rattle/thumping on bumpy city streets. Fine on the hiway.
How does the passenger b pillar cover come off? Is there an easier cure?

You could remove the panel and check for anything loose. It wouldn't surprise me if something wiggled out of place and just needs a good slap n' tickle back in place. When I removed that panel to run my dashcam cables (I only needed to remove it half way) it was kind of a PITA to reseat.

This isn't the kind of stuff I would usually take to the shop until I've done some more digging trying to pinpoint the issue.
