Annoying metallic rattle from C pillar area, behind maybe?

Hi all,

I have this mind boggling rattle coming from right behind the C pillar driver’s side in the little gap between the rear seats and fender liner (at least that’s what it sounds like). It comes on from 40kmh or above, almost as if it’s wind related. Listen closely to that almost metallic rattle? I had the wife drive while I try to pinpoint the sound. Video is below:



I have lowered the rear seats, removed all the trim on that side, removed the seatbelt mechanism in the pillar, removed items from under the seat, checked all cables are not smacking any metal parts and checked all latches are locking as they should.

I have also removed the little vent piece behind the seat to gain access to the little cavity that the video shows. I used a cheap automotive stethoscope that only really amplified the sound a bit when i put it on the metal pieces in the cavity through the vent hole.

I’ve also looked around for any rocks or anything around that area, but it seems just to be welded body panels.

Anybody have this happen before? I am going insane trying to find the source.

Did you check under your vehicle. Not while your driving of course. lol Could be suspension related.
