This is what Maverick buyers will likely think when attempting to take delivery of their 2024 PHEV in 5 years

My prediction is MY24 for a PHEV, not in 5 years

A plug in hybrid might be nice but before you all jump on it expect a large price increase. Maybe at least 2 to maybe 3 grand MORE (going by price difference on plug in prius verse regular prius) . Not worth it to me. A full EV one expect a price jump into the 40K range. also No you cant charge a EV to full in 30 minutes its always 80 percent. Range drops with cold . Watched many F 150 lightening videos on youtube dropped range by 48 percent . Once guy tried to make it less I just didn't use heat just heated seats. Must not be married. Not an EV fan BUT hybrids are the way to go. Yes exceptions always apply. Oh the Leaf came out with 80 mile range NOW its still 125 on base leaf ad about 8 grand more get 220.
It's not worth it to you, however, it's worth it for me. I have a 17 miles commute, and city driving, a PHEV makes sense. At work, there are 5 charging stations (free) and I would only need an hour of plug-in time to make it home in EV mode. So my total commute would be with ZERO ICE running. More and more charging starting are popping up and if needed, I'll run it in Hybrid mode.

Well sure you get to charge at work for free then its worth it assuming its 2 or 3 grand more for plug in is they make one. . I don't see any EV version for quite some time. 17 miles x 260 work days = 4420 miles for free. I assume its 17 miles each way?

Yes each way, there is more to owning a BEV then no gas to some people, it's the fact no ICE is needed.
I'm predicting once Ford gets it's act together in producing more EV, hopefully within the next 5 years you will see a BEV Maverick.

Interesting how many Chevy volt owners posted here. I'm driving a 2012 and ordered a hybrid maverick

Why are you surprised? The Volt was a forward-thinking vehicle that was ahead of its time. BMW did the same thing with the i3 range extender. Both are great commuter vehicals

I would definitely consider an AWD Hybrid for my needs if power is adequate.
