Just want to name and shame because of how ridiculous this is. A few days ago they told me they are accepting Maverick orders but are charging $5k on top of that. I could not believe what they're trying to pull. I found a different dealer that isn't charging any fees and told me they get customers all the time complaining about that dealership in ---- charging $5k-$15k over MSRP depending on the car/truck

Dealers tried this with the Mach E, send Ford a tweet or tweet mike Levine the Ford North American product communications director @mrlevine. Dealers stopped adding a mark up after he got involved.

I hated car shopping in Pensacola. Most of the dealer's there don't work to find stock you want (and some made it so they can't). As was told to me by a dealer in Panama City, "they don't send stock to other dealers, so other dealers won't send any to them."

If you are looking for a car there, try Foley, Mobile, or Panama City, IMHO. I ultimately bought my last 2 cars in Panama City, but I don't live out there anymore.

World Ford tried to pull to same crap with me. Called up Brandon at Moyer Ford in Foley, Ala and got treated much better.

Not saying it is the right thing to do. But - if one dealers sells 20 @ 5k over MSRP and another sells 50 @ MSRP - who is making more profit overall?

The one who will get more business and allotments because they move more numbers. Short term vs long term gain

I just looked on Chapman's website and it looks like they are marking up a decent amount as well. Looks like more and more are jumping on the supply and demand train for the Maverick.

I think the difference here is ordered versus dealer stock. Dealer stock (refused orders) are all going to be marked up.
