I have a 22 awd ecoboost. Wondering how the auto stop start works. I stop Mt truck at a light and it shows the A with a line through it. Does not stop, no ac, truck fully warmed up. I know alot of people would love this not to work. But I have to bring my truck in next week for rear set monitor and acc not working. And am concerned it may be indicative of other issues.

Does pushing the A/S/S button between the seats have any effect? Does the status of the amber LED change when you push it?

If you go to the center screen and the Information Menu, then select AutoStartStop, the reason is displayed. It's likely due to the battery charging. I've found ASS will also not work if just the front defroster button is pressed.

I also have 22 awd eb 4K and noticed this past winter that a.s.s. had stopped working. I had dealership look at and test battery and they said nothing wrong and all looked good and they even said a.s.s. was working for them. I doubted their story that it worked for them, and figured they probably just charged battery since a.s.s. started magically working again after I drove home.

That lasted about 3 days and then again stopped working. I read a post here where someone advised that turning off Daytime Running Lights got their a.s.s. to resume normal function due to reduced draw on battery. I turned off my DRL’s three months ago and now my a.s.s. has been working again.

Push the brake all the way in when stopped. There is a point in the travel of the pedal where the Auto Start Stop won't engage.

Yes I did know that and push them hard. With the seat belt monitor and acc not working probably made me notice it. In the past I tended to not push the brakes so hard it would not activate.

My A/S/S also works intermittently. My dealer tech said that the engine needs to warm up to a certain temperature, and the battery needs to be at a certain level of charge. He said it’s normal for a high electrical use to cause this to happen. Lights, A/C, blowers, etc., all can cause this. Especially if you are in crawling traffic. Once I learned that, I sorta kept track and noticed that his description was spot on. Yes, maybe a better battery would help, but so far I am Ok with it…

Am I the only person who turns it off immediately when I get into my Maverick?
I paid for the eliminator, so now I only have to press the cruise control button every time I get in the truck. :)

My concern it may be indicative of other issues. Which I have. I did find in another post you can actually bring up a screen for ass. Also Seat belts. I am getting a warning when I start the truck saying fault rear seat belt monitoring. When I activated the seat belt and ass screens it is showing my front seat belt not buckled, and ass screen says engine running due to seat belt not buckled
Also my acc does not work. Bet that's a result of this too
