Thanks to our friend @Golfsnob we now have a confirmed, working Auto Start/Stop Delete using just Forscan!

This is the same technique used on the Ford Bronco that was previously mentioned in other threads AND on the Bronco forums. @Golfsnob has both a Bronco and a Maverick and used the technique successfully on both.

I have also used this Forscan technique on my 2023 EB and can happily report it works like a charm. No lights or indicator. Just disabled.

Here's the technique from @Golfsnob:

"You have to change the values in the "AS Built" in the PSCM module address 730-03-01. There are 3 sets of values. In the 3rd set of values change the first two digits from 01 (enabled) to 00 (disabled). Then click write all and follow the key off/on instructions. That's it."

Enjoy! And many thanks to @Golfsnob for saving us all that money :)
Absolutely Works. Thanks!!

That's fantastic !!! I bought an eliminator cable, and can still turn the auto start stop on or off as needed. Does the Forscan work around allow that too?

Yes, look for the PSCM As Built module option, run it and edit the address 730-03-01 as it is indicated by gregk.26289

You'll find the auto start stop disable icon sometimes in the screen, i believe in situations in which it would be stopping the engine otherwise. The auto start-stop button is still enabled so i believe you can turn it back on whenever you want. I will try to look into changing its function to something useful. Goodbye to that greta sh1t.

Have a Happy and auto-start-stop-free New Year!!

OK, after reading this, I guess it's just easier to train my old dogs to learn to press that button every time getting in. No biggie.

Sounds like this permanently turns out off.

What seceral people want is it to default to off, but be able to turn it on if desired.
It's very simple to disable it in Forscan and it's easy to change it back. Just disabled mine & it took less than a minute.

My wife asked me to resort to this today... We have a Cobb AccessPort which will disable ASS (realtime), but it eventually turns itself back on. Now we don't have to wonder why the car got quiet and A/C warmed up randomly. :)

In addition to your coding which is now able to be done through easy mode, I was able to disable the Auto Start Stop button and light with this coding for the HVAC! Check this picture and coding below!

DISABLE AUTO START STOP BUTTON AND LIGHT
1. Go to HVAC AS BUILT
2. Go to 733-01-05
3. Replace the sixth digit with a "0" as shown below.

xxxx-x0xx-xxxx

4. Write the changes!

I have two night lights plugged into the AC outlets in the back seating area and the bed. I think the
truck sees a current draw on the AC inverter output and prevents Auto Start/Stop. I've tried with and without the lights. No S/S with lights plugged in. Have to push the button each time when the lights are not plugged in. I did the same thing with my 2019 Ranger and it worked for the almost 5 years that I owned it.
