As many have noted, temps above 40F or so really improve MPG

In the winter I don't drive much or far. So since its cold 14F today my gas engine runs the whole time. MPG goes way way down for me in the winter. If I drove as far as I do when its warmer It wouldn't be as bad. My last tank was lowest EVER at 27.1 mpg measured . I have a 2023 .All super short runs a few miles gas engine on the whole time . I do at least every two weeks take it on longer drive to burn off any condensation engine oil might gather.

Ecoboost my drive to work (17 mi) In summer I get 35-37 mpg.
it’s been 15-30 degrees roughly on average, and I’ve been getting 30 mpg +/- 2

My 22 FWD hyrbrid got a lot better mpg then the 25 AWD hybrid, like 4-5 mpg better. At first the 25 was only 1-2 mpg less, so I'm guessing the topper I put on last spring has a lot to do with it. Still happy with the 33-35 mpg

My low MPG is because i mostly drive short trips in winter. Short trips in summer work well though. I don't do much when its cold. My previous gas 2020 Ecosport was in the 17 mpg range in the winter and in summer 27 mpg . For a comparison to my 27.1 mpg hybrid mav.

So while hybrids do drop so do gas under my same conditions and the hybrid will always beat the 2.0 turbo in mpg. Not sure if you were trying to imply the gas engine is as good as hybrid in mpg for winter. Its not .

How are You getting 28-30 mpg with an AWD LOBO with the Eco Boost engine in the cold weather? I'm at 24 mpg with My 2025 AWD XLT with the Eco Boost engine in the cold weather.

Driving habits. I had a Hyundai previously and learned how to get the best gas mileage possible. It was an everyday game for me. With that being said. My 18 mile drive to work at 4am has zero traffic here in Chicago. I have every stop light timed out so I do as little braking as possible. Stop and go is a killer of mpg on these trucks. 7th gear shifts at exactly 58mph and will down shift to 6th at 52mph. About 12-13 miles is all highway for me. So I’ll set my cruise control to 58. On good warm weather without having to slow down staying at a consistent 58 mph will yield mid 30s mpg highway. Every 3-4 mph after that will kill about 1 mpg off your average

My Ecoboost,
Summer 27-31 mpg,
Winter, ( below 25F ) 26-31

The small change is because of my morning warm ups three or four days a week and because I drive gentler in freezing weather, Ice ya know.

I like getting in a warm cabin on those cold mornings.
Seat and steering wheel all toasty.

Yeah I’m an old school gasser.
Zoom Zoom :’P

With gas prices going down and me only driving 12-13,000 a year fuel cost is a non issue, as long as we stay vigilant.

My 2025 AWD Hybrid (4K Tow) with 235/55/19 Wildpeak AT Trails (35 psi) in Central Ohio winter is averaging 28.5mpg. I just clocked 29.5mpg.

I do remote start (3-4 minutes before leaving) and use the heat as we have been in the 10s-20s for big portions of late Fall/winter.

Overall I am not unhappy with the MPGs knowing it should jump back up to the low 30s in the warmer months.

I need a video of your driving habits and commute... when I blast the throttle to the ground in my hybrid on my commute (same climate as you) I still end up with 28MPG as my LOW. My AVERAGE is 39.7MPG. Even running in sport mode I get 32MPG average.😆

You have to be driving uphill both ways 🤔

Anything that my Maverick can do in this bitter cold (7°F) predicted tonight is better than my F-350 6.7L can do on any day. Just being able to commute comfortably to work and park easily is a blessing.

I'm guessing it's pretty tough to park the 350 at work with the camper. 😜

Actually, my employer has four reserved trailer spaces at the back of the auxiliary lot. It's handy for when I have a vehicle to transport on my car hauler after work. I seldom bring my RV to work. The F-350 is longer than the parking spaces. I didn't get a dually as they are wider than the spaces.
