Are drop-in Ford bed liners compatible with the spray-in coating option?

I ordered a loaded Maverick that included the spray-in liner. I dislike the spray-in as I'm unable to slide things in and out easily, or get things scratched. Is the Ford liner Part No: NZ6Z9900038B compatible with the spray-in? Thank you.

Just drop the spray in option and get the drop in instead. That way it is a factory install. I despise the plastic ones, but when I ordered mine with the spray in it was badly constrained, so I just dropped it and did the plastic one instead. It makes no sense to do both

You are right; things slide a lot more with a drop-in. My first load of 2X10's and 12 bags of kwik-crete slid right onto a major throughfare when I shifted from low to second in my early 80's Toyota. Did pop the clutch a little. Thankfully a few persons helped to reload.
Keep the tail gate up. I personally like less sliding with the spray-in. It is also much easier to reach everything in the Maverick because of width and lower sides. Just my 2 Cents. :)

I can't imagine why it wouldn't be. It seems like it would lay right over the top of the spray in with no problems.

If you want it to slide, use the DIBL or SIBL. If you don't want it to slide, get the bedmat, or put wood boards in the slots in the bed to restrain unruly items

First spray in I’ve ever had, but liking it more than the drop in, glad that’s what was in it

I would be curious if the SIBL is thick enough that a DIBL doesn't fit right on top of it.

I'm just a casual dummy, but I don't think it'd fit right...but I also think it might depend on who installed the SIBL, some are thicker than others

Which speaks to either how thin the SIBL is or how loose the tolerances of the DIBL are. Neither of which inspire confidence. IMO.

Trust me, the tolerances are 'Very' loose on a Drop in.
It has to work with every vehicle off the assembly line, and the side-to-side buld difference from Minimum size to Maximum size is about 3mm off center-line, or 6mm (1/4") and there is a tolerance on that of generally +0.75mm/- 0.0mm . It sounds tight, but then add to it the drop in liners are generally made with SMC (Sheet Molding Compound). They need a good amount of draft on the die to make sure it can be removed. (generally 4-5 degrees per side, and depending on the Stipple (Texture) on the plastic SMC surface, some angles are upwards of 10 degrees! ).
Hope that clears this up some.
